NOTES
The Nationwide Tour remains in Ohio this week for the Nationwide Children`s Hospital Invitational, where D.J. Brigman won last year. Brigman is not on hand to defend his title after moving to the PGA Tour, but Mathew Goggin and Kyle Thompson -- the top two money leaders on tour -- are both in the field this week. Goggin can play his way onto the PGA Tour with a victory since he already has two in 2011. The field is very strong from a Nationwide Tour standpoint, with 32 of the top 33 players on the money list participating. The only absentee is No. 3 Erik Compton. The tournament is staged at The Ohio State University Golf Club`s Scarlet Course, and 2011 marks the fifth time the event has been held. All four of the winners of this event have graduated to the PGA Tour, including Brigman, Derek Lamely, Bill Lunde and Daniel Summerhays, who won as an amateur in 2007. Golf Channel has coverage of all four rounds. The Nationwide Tour heads to Utah next week for the Utah Championship, where Michael Putnam won last year.
