Guanajuato, Mexico (Sports Network) - Ryan Armour fired an eight-under 64 Thursday to grab a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Mexico Open.

Armour tied for second in Panama, but missed the cut in seven of eight starts and withdrew from his last event.

Chile Classic winner Paul Haley II is alone in second place at El Bosque Golf Club at minus-seven.

Jon Mills, Tag Ridings and James Love share third at six-under 66.
