Slover eagles last for win in Colombia|
Barranquilla, Colombia (Sports Network) - Cody Slover rolled in a 20-foot
eagle putt on the 72nd hole Sunday to come from behind and win the Abierto
He shot a one-under 71 and captured the event at one-under 287. Slover won by
a single stroke over Benjamin Alvarado, who posted a two-under 70 and waited
for Slover to go by him in the end.
Slover collected his first Canadian Tour victory.
Oscar Serna shot an even-par 72 on Sunday and took third at three-over 291.
Cesar Monasterio (72), Alex Quiroz (73), Julian Colmenares (75) and Julian
Etulain (75) tied for fourth at plus-four, while Sebastian Saavedra (69) and
Luciano Dodda (71) shared eighth at five-over par.
NOTES: This was the first event on the 2011 Canadian Tour schedule...Slover
held the third-round lead...Next week is the Pacific Colombia Tour
Championship in Colombia.
