Jermaine                       Austin                   A starter since his freshman season, Austin has followed in the line of star running backs at Georgia Southern and enters the 2005 campaign with a I-AA best 3,865 career rushing yards. The 2003 Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year holds a 6.2 yards per carry average in his career. After eclipsing the 1,400-yard mark in 2002 and 2003, Austin ran for 988 yards in an injury-plagued season in 2004.
