Chattanooga extends Huesman through 2018

Chattanooga, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football coach Russ Huesman has received a three-year contract extension through the 2018 season.

Last year, Huesman led Chattanooga to a share of its first Southern Conference title since 1984 and just its fifth in school history. The Mocs finished 8-4 overall, including 6-2 in the SoCon, and ranked 23rd in The Sports Network FCS Top 25.

"The success and improvement in our football program under Coach Huesman has been tremendous," athletic director David Blackburn said. "He is building a tradition of excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in the community. I look forward to working with him to further that for many years to come."

Huesman has a 31-25 record through five seasons at Chattanooga.
