Portland State adds 12th game to schedule

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Portland State football will have 12 regular- season games for the first time after adding an Aug. 29 season opener against Eastern Oregon University, the Big Sky university announced Monday.

The additional home date will give Portland State six games at JELD-WEN Field.

"The more games you play, the more experience you gain, the better you can be," said Vikings coach Nigel Burton, whose team finished 3-8 last season. "I appreciate Eastern Oregon for coming through and allowing this game to be played."
