Coastal Carolina signs wide receiver

Conway, SC (Sports Network) - New Coastal Carolina head football coach Joe Moglia announced Tuesday that wide receiver Tyrell Blanks of Fort Myers, Fla., has signed a National Letter of Intent and is enrolled at the Big South Conference university.

Blanks, a 5-foot-10 wide receiver from South Fort Myers High School, is eligible to participate with the team in all spring activities.

He spent the fall semester at Atlanta Sports Academy, catching 16 passes for 332 yards with two touchdowns. As a senior at South Fort Myers in 2010, he caught 19 passes for 389 yards and four touchdowns while the Wolfpack compiled a 12-1 record and reached the Florida 2A semifinals.

In addition, 2011 signee DeAngelo Henderson out of Summerville (S.C.) High School has enrolled at Coastal Carolina and will participate as a freshman in spring activities.
