Gardner-Webb to host Virginia State

Boiling Springs, N.C. (Sports Network) - Gardner-Webb completed its 2011 football schedule by adding the first Thursday night home game in the program's history, Nov. 3 against Virginia State.

Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. ET.

Gardner-Webb, a FCS member school in the Big South Conference, went 4-7 last season and enters the 2011 season under new head coach Ron Dickerson Jr.

NCAA Division II member Virginia State is coming off an 8-3 season in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
