Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Vince Young rushed for 158 yards and four touchdowns, and also passed for 142 yards and a score, leading No. 8 Texas to a 51-21 road victory over Big 12 rival Texas Tech.

Young was 10-of-15 passing and rushed 25 times for the Longhorns (6-1, 3-1 Big 12), who have won two straight since their 12-0 loss to Oklahoma two weeks ago. Cedric Benson added 168 yards and a touchdown on 38 carries.

Texas Tech scored first, driving 86 yards for a touchdown on their second possession of the game. Henderson's two-yard touchdown run with 7:25 left in the opening quarter was set up by Nehemiah Glover's 58-yard reception on second down from the Texas Tech 39.

But Texas responded with an 80-yard scoring drive, tying the game at 7-7 on Young's two-yard dive with 2:49 remaining in the first. The 11-play drive featured four plays longer than 10 yards -- two Young rushes and two Young passes.

Longhorns linebacker Aurmon Satchell intercepted Cumbie on the ensuing Texas Tech possession, returning the pick 26 yards to the Raiders' 25 and setting up another two-yard TD run by Young that made it 14-7.

Tech responded with a 71-yard scoring drive that bridged the first and second quarters, tying the game at 14-14 with 10:00 remaining in the half on Cumbie's one-yard TD dive.

But the back-and-forth scoring continued at the other end with Young's nine- yard touchdown pass to David Thomas, which made it 21-14 with 7:00 left before the break.

Texas kicker David Pino missed a 50-yard field goal try wide-right later in the second quarter, but Dusty Mangum was good on a 27-yarder at the end of the half to give the Longhorns a 24-14 lead.

Young had touchdown runs of one yard and 11 yards in the first seven minutes of the third quarter, extending the Longhorns' lead to a commanding 38-14. Mangum then kicked a 22-yard field goal in the first minute of the fourth to make it 41-14.

Five minutes after that, Texas went ahead 48-14 on Benson's one-yard touchdown run. The Longhorns needed just eight plays and 36 yards for the score after Texas Tech failed on a fourth down attempt.
