Lincoln, NE (Sports Network) - Cory Ross ran for 194 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Nebraska Cornhuskers tamed the Missouri Tigers, 24-3, in a Big 12 Conference battle at Tom Osbourne Field.

Ross racked up his yardage for the Cornhuskers (5-3, 3-2 Big 12) on 19 carries.

Nebraska quarterback Joe Daily completed 4-of-18 passes for just 26 yards.

Missouri (4-4, 2-3) was led by Brad Smith, who completed 24-of-56 pass attempts for 277 yards with an interception.

Sandro DeAngelis drew first blood for the Cornhuskers when he booted a 41-yard field goal with 11:14 remaining in the first quarter.

The Tigers responded with a 39-yard field goal by Joe Tantarelli to knot the score at 3-3 early in the second quarter.

Nebraska broke the tie when Adam Ickes returned a punt 16 yards for a touchdown, giving the Cornhuskers a 10-3 advantage with 9:42 left in the first half.

The second half was all Nebraska as the team scored 14 unanswered points. Ross accounted for both touchdowns with scoring runs of 15 yards and 86 yards to give Nebraska a 24-3 lead with 2:56 left in the ball game.

Missouri had 328 yards of total offense in its third consecutive loss, while the Cornhuskers racked up 235 yards.
