NCAA Game Summary - Central Michigan at Kent State

(Friday, November 4th)

Final Score: Kent State 24, Central Michigan 21

Kent, OH (Sports Network) - Spencer Keith threw three touchdowns and Kent State defeated Central Michigan, 24-21, after David Harman missed a 28-yard field goal on the game's final play.

Keith completed 17-of-31 passes for 281 yards, including an 85-yard TD to Matthew Hurdle early on. Trayion Durham added 90 yards on the ground for the Golden Flashes (3-6, 2-3 MAC), winners of two straight after a 1-6 start.

Titus Davis caught two of Ryan Radcliff's three touchdown passes and finished with 192 yards on 10 receptions for the Chippewas (3-7, 2-4), who have lost four of their last five.

Radcliff logged 316 yards on 26-of-42 attempts and was picked off twice. He did, however, lead Central Michigan into field goal range with time winding down, only to have Harman hook his chip shot wide left.

Chris Gilbert's touchdown catch capped a nine-play, 80-yard drive with 13:47 remaining in the final quarter to give the hosts a 21-14 lead, which Sidney Saulter helped maintain by intercepting Radcliff deep in Kent State territory.

Freddy Cortez's 34-yard field goal midway through the fourth padded the margin, and the Golden Flashes held on despite Davis scoring from 52 yards out to make it a three-point game with 5:52 to play.

Radcliff's first interception was turned into a 15-yard Jacquise Terry TD reception, and on the first play of the second quarter, Hurdle turned a short pass into an 85-yard score up the left sideline.

Central Michigan responded with touchdowns on their next two drives, as Courtney Williams and Davis hauled in passes of seven and 36 yards, respectively, to tie it.
