Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - The Toledo Rockets scored 28 second-half points at Perry Stadium to edge out the Bowling Green Falcons, 28-21 and remain undefeated in Mid-American Conference play this afternoon, capturing the Battle of I-75.

Toledo (4-3, 3-0 MAC) racked up 456 yards of total offense, including 268 yards on the ground. Tailback Morgan Williams was responsible for 136 rushing yards and three TDs, while fellow RB David Fluellen added 93 yards and one score.

Bowling Green (3-4, 1-2 MAC) managed 343 yards on offense. Quarterback Matt Schilz completed 21-of-42 passes, for 220 yards and one TD. Tailback Anthon Samuel rushed for 105 yards in the loss, while wideout Kamar Jorden finished with seven receptions, for 106 yards and one score for BGSU.

It was a first half full of missed opportunities for both squads as neither could find their way to the scoreboard until the final drive of the half. Bowling Green got the ball back with 2:33 left on the clock and used almost all the time, capping off a 13-play, 80-yard drive with a 27-yard touchdown from Schilz to Jorden on a fourth-and-25 to take a 7-0 lead into intermission.

Fluellen knotted things up at 7-7 with a three-yard touchdown run for Toledo, capping off a 14-play drive just past the midway point of the third quarter. The Rockets didn't take long to get back in the end zone, marching 72 yards in five plays, finishing off the drive with a six-yard TD run by Williams to give Toledo a 14-7 lead late in the third quarter.

The Falcons started a drive late in the third quarter and finished it off at the 12:59 mark of the fourth, tying the game up at 14-14 thanks to a one-yard TD run by Jordan Hopgood.

Less than a minute later, it was Williams again, this time a 13-yard TD scamper to put Toledo back out in front, 21-14. Williams would make it three TDs in the game with a 24-yard run with under two minutes to play, making it 28-14.

The Falcons cut that lead in half on the ensuing kickoff, as Jerry Gates took it 88 yards for a score to make it 28-21. However, the Rockets were able to run out the final 1:20 on the clock and preserve the win.
