Murfreesboro, TN (Sports Network) - Anthony Dixon toted 27 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Mississippi State Bulldogs to a 27-6 victory over Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders in a non-conference matchup at Floyd Stadium.

Tyson Lee orchestrated the Bulldogs'(3-4) offense, completing 14-of-20 pass attempts for 155 yards, while rushing for 38 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

The Blue Raiders' (3-3) offense struggled from the start, as Dwight Dasher completed just 11-of-22 pass attempts for 128 yards and three interceptions.

The Bulldogs took a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter on a 39-yard touchdown run by Lee.

MSU made it a 10-0 game early in the second quarter with a 24-yard field goal by Derek DePasquale.

The Blue Raiders answered just minutes later with an 18-yard field goal by Alan Gendreau.

The Bulldogs responded with an explosive 57-yard touchdown scamper by Dixon to make it a 17-3 game.

MT scored the final points of the first half, when Gendreau drilled a 24-yard field goal.

MSU scored the only points of the third quarter, as DePasquale kicked a 36- yard field goal to give his team a 20-6 lead heading into the final stanza.

The Bulldogs put the game out of reach late in the fourth quarter, when Dixon powered his way in for a one-yard touchdown to give his team a 27-6 victory.

The Bulldogs outgained the Blue Raiders, 333-248, and committed no turnovers compared to four by MT.

With his effort today, Dixon is now the all-time leading rusher in MSU history, surpassing Jerious Norwood's career mark of 3,212 yards.
