Final Score: Boise State 37, (17) Oregon 32

Eugene, OR (Sports Network) - Kellen Moore passed for 386 yards and three touchdowns and Ian Johnson ran for another score as Boise State held on to defeat 17th-ranked Oregon, 37-32, at Autzen Stadium.

Moore completed 24-of-36 pass attempts, while Vinny Perretta caught three passes for 91 yards and a touchdown for Boise State (3-0). Chris O'Neill chipped in with four grabs for 31 yards and a TD in the win.

Darron Thomas finished 13-of-25 passing for 210 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in relief of starter Jeremiah Masoli, who left in the first half after suffering a concussion. LeGarrette Blount ran for 103 yards and a score for Oregon (3-1). Jeremiah Johnson had 101 yards rushing and a TD for the Ducks.

"Going into Monday, we've got three quarterbacks and I assume they will all be ready to play," Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti said of the team's quarterback situation. "It will be an open competition and I think we will evaluate from there."

With Boise State holding a comfortable 24-6 lead after one half, the Ducks tried making a game of it when Jeremiah Johnson's 17-yard scoring run early in the third quarter narrowed the Oregon deficit to 11 points.

Moore responded in a big way on the Broncos' next possession when he hit Perretta for a 74-yard TD on the second play of the set to widen the lead. A pair of Kyle Brotzman field goals, from 26 and 34 yards away increased Boise State's lead to 37-13 after three quarters.

A Thomas 24-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Maehl in the early stages of the fourth got Oregon a little closer. The Oregon signal-caller then connected for a 20-yard TD score to Ed Dickson midway through the final quarter to get the Ducks to within 37-26. The extra point by Matt Evensen was missed.

Another Thomas-to-Dickson hookup with 2:07 left in the contest accounted for the 37-32 final.

"It was only game three here and it was great to win against a team like this," Boise State head coach Chris Petersen said. "But we still have to get better and fix our issues."

Oregon drew first blood with just over three minutes remaining in the first quarter, following a 15-play, 77-yard drive. Starting on their own 20, Jeremiah Johnson got five straight rushes, moving the Ducks to the 39. After converting a first down, the home team moved the ball with ease down to the Boise State 28-yard-line. Jeremiah Masoli connected with Dickson for 11 yards and Blount capped the set, rushing for 17 more to pay dirt. A missed extra point made it a 6-0 game.

A 51-yard field goal by Brotzman on the first play of the second period got Boise State on the board.

After Oregon went three-and-out, the Broncos got great field possession on the Ducks 23 following a three-yard punt by Josh Syria. The visitors quickly reached the end zone when Moore hooked up with Tommy Gallarda for a nine-yard strike, giving Boise State a 10-6 lead early in the second quarter.

Jeremiah Johnson's fumble near midfield led to another quick score by the Broncos. Moore connected with Jeremy Childs for 41 yards and two plays later Ian Johnson banged in from six yards out.

It continued to get worse for the home team. After a marginal Oregon offensive set, Moore led a steady passing attacked and capped a 10-play, 73-yard drive when he found O'Neill in the end zone for the second time of the contest and upping the Broncos lead to 24-6 heading into the break.
