Later on 3rd-and-6, Ryan hooked up with Clarence Megwa on an eight-yard catch and a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty added to the play. Ryan found Justin Jarvis in the end zone from nine yards out to complete the drive with just 2:10 left in the first half.

The Minutemen got on the board in the third as Coen hooked up with Rancher on a 41-yard catch-and-run touchdown to make it a 17-7 game five minutes into the third.

Massachusetts made it a three-point game later in the third as Coen hooked up with Jeremy Horne on a 35-yard touchdown catch to make it a 17-14 game with 5:55 left in the quarter.
