NCAA Game Summary - Missouri at Nebraska

Lincoln, NE (Sports Network) - Brandon Jackson rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries as the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Missouri Tigers, 34-20, in a Big 12 Conference battle at Tom Osborne Field.

Zac Taylor completed 13-of-21 pass attempts for 208 yards and two touchdowns as the Cornhuskers (7-3, 4-2 Big 12) snapped a two-game losing streak.

Missouri (7-3, 3-3) was led by Chase Daniel who completed 20-of-38 passes for 244 yards with two touchdowns and as many interceptions.

Nebraska drew first blood in the ball game by putting up 17-straight points. Jordan Congdon kicked a 40-yard field goal, Maurice Purify threw a 28-yard scoring pass to Terrence Nunn and Taylor connected with Purify on a seven-yard touchdown pass to give the Cornhuskers a 17-0 lead.

Missouri answered when Jeff Wolfert split the uprights on a 26-yard field goal attempt to cut the Nebraska advantage to 17-3 with 9:58 left in the second quarter.

The Cornhuskers responded with 10-straight points that pushed their lead to 27-3. Taylor threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Teafatiller and Congdon booted a 33-yard field with 1:18 on the clock in the second quarter.

The Tigers closed out the scoring in the half when Wolfert kicked a 54-yard field goal as time expired in the stanza.

Missouri opened the scoring in the second half when Chase threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Martin Rucker to trim the Nebraska lead to 27-13 with 5:46 left in the third quarter.

Brandon Jackson pushed the Cornhuskers' advantage to 34-13 when he found the end zone on a two-yard carry early in the fourth quarter.

Daniel responded for the Tigers when he connected with Chase Coffman on a 19- yard touchdown pass which capped an 18-play, 80-yard drive and trimmed the Cornhuskers' edge to 34-20 with 8:10 left in the game.

Nebraska piled up 419 total yards of offense in the contest while the Tigers had 363 total yards.
