Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Shawn Bell threw two touchdown passes to lead the Baylor Bears to a 17-3 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in a Big 12 contest at Floyd Casey Stadium.

Bell completed 25-of-46 passes for 282 yards for Baylor (2-3, 0-1 Big 12). Dominique Zeigler collected eight passes for 73 yards and one score, while Trent Shelton finished with three receptions for 107 yards and one touchdown.

Josh Freeman struggled tremendously for Kansas State (3-2, 0-1), completing just 11-of-33 passes for 196 yards, and also tossed three interceptions in the loss.

A 75-yard touchdown pass from Bell to Shelton late in the first quarter gave Baylor a 7-0 lead.

With just over two minutes remaining in the first half, the Wildcats finally crack the scoreboard thanks to a 41-yard field goal by Jeff Snodgrass.

The Bears extended their lead to 14-3 early in the third quarter when Bell hit Zeigler with an 11-yard touchdown pass.

Baylor pushed its lead to 17-3 late in the third frame when Ryan Havens connected on a 22-yard field goal.

Baylor forced five turnovers in the victory and held the Wildcats to just 45 rushing yards on 21 carries.
