NCAA Game Summary - Kansas at Kansas State

Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - Allan Evridge threw for 136 yards and a touchdown to lead the Kansas State Wildcats past the Kansas Jayhawks, 12-3, in a Big 12 Conference showdown at KSU Stadium.

Evridge completed 14-of-21 passes without being intercepted in the contest. Evridge was also the lead rusher for Kansas State (4-1,1-1 Big 12) with 25 yards on 17 carries.

Kansas (3-2, 0-2) was led by Brian Luke who completed just 4-of-13 passes for 86 yards.

The Jayhawks and the Wildcats both struggled offensively in the first half and it was Kansas that carried a 3-0 lead into the intermission on the strength of a 28-yard field goal by Scott Webb.

The second half was all Kansas State as it held the Jayhawks scoreless while putting up 12 points in the session. Jeff Snodgrass split the uprights on a 28-yard field goal attempt, Evridge threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson and Luke was sacked in the end zone for a safety which gave the Wildcats the 12-3 victory.

The Wildcats improved to 3-0 at home this season despite netting just 35 rushing yards in the contest.
