Boise State pummels New Mexico State to stay unbeaten

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Doug Martin ran for four touchdowns, as sixth- ranked Boise State completed a second consecutive unbeaten regular season with a 42-7 thrashing of New Mexico State.

Martin finished with 83 of the 256 total rushing yards for the Broncos (13-0 (8-0 WAC), who also clinched the Western Athletic Conference title outright and kept their at-large BCS bowl hopes alive.

Boise State finished the 2008 season 12-0 before losing to TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl.

Kellen Moore completed 19-of-30 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown for Boise State, with that score going to Titus Young. The Broncos totaled 544 yards and held New Mexico State (3-10, 1-7) to just 191.

Seth Smith ran for 114 yards on 35 carries for the Aggies, who fell to 0-10 all-time against Boise State. Jeff Fleming completed 3-of-7 passes for 36 yards for New Mexico State, while Trevor Walls completed one pass in five attempts.
