Stampeders take two of CFL's weekly awards

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Charleston Hughes and running back Jon Cornish were among the CFL's top performers for Week 9 of the 2012 season.

Hughes registered two sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles in a 17-10 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Cornish rushed for a game-high 159 yards on 24 carries against Saskatchewan and was named top the Canadian for the week.

Montreal Alouettes slotback S.J Green earned offensive honors after pulling in 10 catches for a game-high 168 yards and a touchdown in a 31-29 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Tiger-Cats kick returner Chris Williams received the special teams award after returning two punts for 76 yards, including one that went for a 70 yard touchdown.
