GAME NOTES: The Horizon League meets the Ohio Valley Conference Saturday as the Milwaukee Panthers visit the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles at the Eblen Center.

The Panthers played their first home game on Tuesday after running through all three of their foes in capturing the Northern Illinois Invitational Tournament. Their fourth game in five days, however, proved to be too much, as they lost to DePaul, 80-71, after shooting just 41 percent from the floor.

Tennessee Tech, which has won all three meetings against Milwaukee, is coming off an easy 92-39 rout of overmatched Indiana-Kokomo. The blowout saw seven TTU players score at least eight points, with Ladon Carter's 14 points leading the way.

The Eagles figure to have a much tougher time against Milwaukee, which is averaging a healthy 74.5 ppg. Milwaukee has four players scoring in double figures -- Matt Tiby, Jordan Aaron, Kyle Kelm and Austin Arians -- while a fifth, Steve McWhorter, checks in with 9.5 ppg. Tiby's 15.5 points and 9.2 rebounds leads the team in both categories.

Tiby showcased his talents with a 20-point, 11-rebound effort against DePaul on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he also shot just 2-of-10 from behind the arc in the setback. Kelm poured in 16 points on an impressive 6-of-8 shooting, while Arians chipped in with 10.

Tennessee Tech did not have any problems in its Thursday win over Indiana- Kokomo. The Eagles shot 57 percent from the floor and played terrific defense, forcing 26 turnovers and limiting Indiana-Kokomo to 31 percent shooting. Carter led the offensive charge in the win, but had plenty of help, as three others joined him in double figures. Dwan Caldwell just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Ty Allen and DeOndre Haynes added 10 points apiece in the lopsided affair.

TTU is shooting a solid .469 from the floor in the early going, leading to 72.3 ppg. There aren't any prolific scorers on the roster, but three players currently are averaging double figures, led by Allen's 13.2 ppg. Carter is second in line at 10.0 ppg, as is Haynes, whose first game action came last time out.

These teams have a common opponent already this year in Loyola. The Panthers lost their season opener to the Ramblers, while Tennessee Tech eked out a 74-69 win. Based on that, and a win on Milwaukee's home floor last season, the prediction goes to the Eagles in what should be a tight game.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Tennessee Tech 70, Milwaukee 68
