Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Shayne Whittington paced four teammates in double-figures with 13 points as the Western Michigan Broncos outlasted the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 72-68, in a Mid-American Conference bout at Millett Hall.

Whittington made all five of his field goal attempts for WMU (13-7, 5-2 MAC), which has won five straight games. Darius Paul tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the visitors, while Nate Hutcheson and Brandon Pokley scored 11 points apiece.

For Miami (7-12, 2-5), Will Felder recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Allen Roberts netted 10 points from off the bench. The RedHawks have lost four games in a row for the second time this season.

WMU shot a lofty 57.1 percent from the field in the first half compared to Miami's 48.3 percent, but the RedHawks took a 35-32 lead into intermission by forcing 12 Broncos' turnovers.

The Broncos' hot field goal shooting continued in the second half (.600), which allowed them to run past an ice-cold RedHawks squad (.286). WMU took the lead for good on a Paul layup with 3:39 left in the game.

WMU won despite turning the ball over 23 times.
