Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Pat Swilling Jr. and Rashad Ray both scored 11 points off the bench to help push the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to a 61-42 win over the Missouri State Bears in non-conference play at the Reynolds Center.
Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa (5-3) was Shaquille Harrison who accounted for 10 points, as well as seven rebounds and four assists as the team snapped a two-game slide.
The Bears (2-6) were paced by Drew Wilson who registered a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, but still the program bowed for the fourth time in as many games.
Both teams shot below 40 percent from the floor in the first half, but with a 9-of-10 effort at the free-throw line the Golden Hurricane was able to pull out to a 28-22 edge at the break. It also helped that the hosts held Missouri State to just 1-of-9 beyond the three-point line in the frame as well.
Tulsa's lead reached as high as 19 points in the second half, thanks to 61.1 percent accuracy from the floor, en route to the easy victory. The Bears were limited to a total of just six field goals after intermission.
In addition to turning the ball over 15 times, the Bears also shot a mere 11- of-21 at the charity stripe.
