USAFA, CO (Sports Network) - DeVontae Wright scored a game-high 26 points as he led The Citadel Bulldogs to an 83-72 win over the Army Black Knights in the third-place game of the inaugural All-Military Classic at Clune Arena.
Mike Groselle delivered a double-double for the Bulldogs (1-1) with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Bo Holston chipped in 12 points and also cleared seven boards in the triumph.
The Black Knights (0-2) were paced by Ella Ellis who posted a team-best 18 points off the bench in 25 minutes of action. Maxwell Lenox and Mo Williams both added 12 points in the setback as well.
Army led by as many as 20 points in the first half, thanks to 60 percent shooting from the field and 6-of-8 behind the three-point line, but had to settle for a 49-37 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Knights came crashing back down to reality as they made a total of just five field goals and were 1-of-13 beyond the arc, allowing the Bulldogs to battle back and grab the double-digit win.
The Citadel finished the outing with 50.9 percent accuracy from the floor and turned the ball over just 11 times.
