NCAA Game Summary - Texas-Arlington at Utah State

Logan, UT (Sports Network) - Preston Medlin scored a game-high 27 points and handed out eight assists as the Utah State Aggies posted a 73-69 win over the Mavericks of Texas-Arlington as part of the Athletes in Action Basketball Classic at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Medlin converted 6-of-9 shots behind the three-point line and 8-of-12 from the field overall for the Aggies (6-5) as they won their second in a row. Kyisean Reed and Danny Berger contributed with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
The Mavericks (4-5) were led by Bo Ingram who dropped in a team-best 21 points, but he shot only 3-of-14 beyond the arc and 8-of-23 from the floor as they lost their third in a row. LaMarcus Reed and Cameron Catlett accounted for 11 points apiece, while Jordan Reves tallied 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
UTA led by four points early in the first half, but the team shot only 2-of-8 beyond the arc in the period which led the visitors to a 34-28 deficit at the break.
In the second half USU made good on not only 52.0 percent from the floor but also 9-of-12 at the free-throw line in order to secure the four-point win.
Shooting 49.0 percent from the field helped the Aggies to overcome 17 turnovers which were traded in for 24 points by the Mavericks.
