Clark's tenure ends at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi, TX (Sports Network) - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball coach Perry Clark is out after four seasons.
The Islanders were just 10-21 this past season, including 5-11 in the Southland Conference. Clark had a record of 54-71 in his four-year tenure.
"My thanks go to Coach Clark for his service to the university and the men's basketball program over the past four seasons," said athletic director Tim Fitzpatrick. "During his long coaching career, his accomplishments have been considerable and the game of college basketball is better for his having been a part of it. We wish him the best in his future endeavors, wherever they may take him."
Clark took over the program in May 2007 after previous head coaching stints at Miami-Florida and Tulane, and owns a career coaching record of 304-270. He had a record of 65-54 with the Hurricanes from 2000-04 and posted a mark of 185-145 in 11 years at Tulane.
