Dupree paces Mercury over Sky
Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Candice Dupree poured in 26 points and pulled down 14 rebounds and Phoenix ran its winning streak to six games with an 87-69 domination of the Chicago Sky.
Diana Taurasi added 15 points, Penny Taylor added 14 and Anete Jekabsone- Zogota scored 10 for Phoenix, which improved to 13-4 in the all-time series against the Sky.
Brittney Griner, who scored 21 points and blocked a league-record 11 shots in a win at Tulsa Sunday, finished with 11 boards and five blocks to go with four points Wednesday.
Allie Quigley had 16 points, while Epiphanny Prince and Jamierra Faulkner each scored 11 for Chicago, which had won two in a row.
The Sky shot 38.7 percent from the field, gave up 13 of the game's first 15 points and never led. They trailed by as many as 22 in the final quarter.
Faulkner made her second start of the season replacing Courtney Vandersloot, who is expected to miss 6-to-10 weeks with a Grade III MCL sprain. Faulkner had 27 points in Tuesday's win at Los Angeles, but shot just 4-of-16 from the field Wednesday.
