 (Sports Network) - Heather Richardson (Salt Lake City, Utah) won the 1,500-
 meter race on Nov. 4 to complete a five-race sweep at the U.S. Single Distance
 Long Track Championships in West Allis, Wis. The three-day competition served
 as a qualifier for the fall world cup. The other U.S. women who made the team
 include Olympians Lauren Cholewinski (Murray, Utah), Maria Lamb (Saint Paul,
 Minn.), Elli Ochowicz (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Jilleanne Rookard (Milwaukee,
 Wis.), along with 2014 hopefuls Brittany Bowe (Ocala, Fla.) and Sugar Todd
 (Milwaukee, Wis.).
 Geoffrey Loss (Laguna Beach, Calif.) went undefeated and clinched the Kiev
 Junior Saber World Cup title on Nov. 4 in Kiev, Ukraine. Loss edged local
 favorite Kostiantyn Voronov of the Ukraine, 15-12, in the championship to claim
 the first U.S. men's saber world cup in three years.
 Noelle Pikus-Pace(Orem, Utah) and John Daly (Smithtown, N.Y.) each won their
 races at the Utah Olympic Park on Nov. 1 to sweep the skeleton national team
 selection races in Park City, Utah. With four wins in four races, Pikus-Pace
 and Daly helped secure a spot on the national team.
 James Alliston (Castro Valley, Calif.) finished first, second and sixth at the
 Galway Downs International Three-Day Event, which ran from Nov. 2-4 in
 Temecula, Calif. Alliston rode Tivoli to first place (53.4), Jumbo's Jake to
 second place (56.6) and Parker to sixth place over the weekend.
 McLain Ward (Brewster, N.Y.) piloted Antares F past the competition to win the
 Alltech Grand Prix on Nov. 4 in Lexington, Ky. The duo broke the beam at 48.48
 seconds with all the rails in place, a score that proved unbeatable.
 Jacob Pope (Columbia, Md.) outlasted 152 riders through four rounds of
 competition to clinch the 2012 ASPCA Maclay National Championship on Nov. 4 in
 Lexington, Ky.
 All three U.S. entries at the Cup of China - an ISU Grand Prix event - earned
 third-place finishes on Nov. 4 in Shanghai. Olympian Mirai Nagasua (Arcadia,
 Calif.) and Adam Rippon (Clarks Summit, Pa.) competed in the women's and men's
 events, while the duo of Madison Chock (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Evan Bates
 (Ann Arbor, Mich.) notched their best grand prix finish in ice dancing.
 Despite holding a 50-30 shot advantage, the U.S. Junior Select Team fell to
 Canada West, 4-3, in a shootout on Nov. 3 in Barrington, Nova Scotia. J.T.
 Stenglein (Greece, N.Y.) netted two goals in the pre-tournament game.
 Shani Davis (Chicago, Ill.) earned a pair of first-place finishes at the U.S.
 Single Distance Long Track Championships in West Allis, Wis., which ran from
 Nov. 2-4. With victories in the 1,000- and 1,500-meter races, Davis secured a
 spot on the men's team. Joining Davis on Team USA include Olympians Tucker
 Fredricks (Salt Lake City, Utah), Brian Hansen (Milwaukee, Wis.), Jonathan Kuck
 (Park City, Utah), Trevor Marsicano (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Mitch Whitmore
 (Park City, Utah); along with 2014 hopefuls Jonathan Garcia (Salt Lake City,
 Utah), Emery Lehman (Oak Park, Ill.), Joey Mantia (Ocala, Fla.) and Patrick
 Meek (Park City, Utah).
 Michael Klueh (Evansville, Ind.) finished nearly eight seconds clear of the
 field in the men's 1,500-meter freestyle after touching the wall in 14:39.12 at
 the FINA World Cup in Beijing on Nov. 2. He also earned a second-place finish
 in the 400 freestyle. On the women's side, Jessica Hardy (Long Beach, Calif.)
 touched second in the 100 breaststroke and fifth in the 50 freestyle.
 Cody Moat (Fillmore, Utah) covered the course in 3:08:26 to win the USA
 Marathon Trail Championships by more than six minutes on Nov. 3 in Moab, Utah.
 Meanwhile, Kerri Lyons (Salt Lake City, Utah) was the top female finisher by
 more than four minutes with a time of 3:27:46.
 Two first-time champions were crowned at the 2012 TURBO Champions Cup on Nov. 4
 in Ann Arbor, Mich. On the boys' side, LA Premier topped United, 11-3, in the
 championship game, while Santa Barbara upended San Diego Shores, 10-3, en route
 to the girls' championship.
