 Sauze  d'Oulx, Italy  (Sports  Network)  - Switzerland's  Evelyne  Leu won  the
 women's freestyle skiing aerials Wednesday at the Winter Olympics.
 
 Leu  won the gold  medal by amassing a total of 202.55 points. She outdistanced
 silver  medal  winner Li Nina  of China,  who totaled 197.39. Defending Olympic
 champion Alisa Camplin of Australia finished third with 191.39 points.
 
 Camplin's   teammate,   Jacqui  Cooper,   finished  eighth  after  leading  the
 qualifying  round.  Cooper could  only manage  152.69 points  in the final. She
 scored just 78.97 points on her first jump.
 
 Leu was fifth after the first jump with 94.62 points and Camplin scored 94.99.
 
 For  the second  jump Leu rang up  the highest score of the evening with 107.93
 points. No other skier scored more than 100 points for the second jump.
 
 After  the first round of jumps Wednesday China's Guo Xinxin led the group with
 103.17  points.  The only other competitor  to crack the 100-point mark was her
 teammate Li with 100.81.
 
 Guo,  though, managed only  a second jump of 71.68 points and finished sixth in
 the competition.
 
 Leu  is currently second  in the World Cup rankings behind Li, who won the 2005
 World Championships just ahead of Leu.
