Insight: Carlyle, who isn't known for being forthcoming when it comes to announcing his starting goalie, admitted that Emery would start as long as he makes it through Friday's practice without any setbacks to his lower-body injury. Emery entered Game 1 in the third period in relief of Dan Ellis, who allowed four goals.

Insight: Emery was cleared to return, but Ducks coach Randy Carlyle decided to leave Dan Ellis in for the rest of the game. The Ducks end the season with a home-and-home against Los Angeles on the weekend, so expect Emery to be back between the pipes unless the injury is worse than expected.
