Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is a career 14-for-27 (.519) with two homers and eight RBI versus Reds right-hander Homer Bailey.
Insight: Weeks doesn't get much work these days with Scooter Gennett getting most of the starts at second base, but this matchup should be worthy of a start. If he's in the lineup, consider putting him in your lineup. Update: Sorry, Weeks is not in the starting lineup.

Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks, who is leading off and serving as the DH Wednesday against the Blue Jays, has a career .500 average against J.A. Happ.
Insight: Weeks is 7-for-14 with two doubles and two homers against Happ. He could be a cheap second-base option in daily leagues.

Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks has great numbers against Reds right-hander Homer Bailey and if he's in the starting lineup should be started.
Insight: He's 14-for-27 against him with two homers and eight RBI. Weeks (.290, 2 HR, 12 RBI) and Scooter Gennett (.285, 3 HR, 15 RBI) have been splitting time at second base, but we're guessing Weeks will get the start on Friday.

Insight: Weeks suffered the injury Wednesday while running out a grounder in the eighth inning and told reporters he felt a " little pop" in the hamstring. Weeks traveled back to Milwaukee Thursday for an MRI. The results of the test aren't yet known, but the team must already know that the injury will keep him out for two weeks or more.

Description: Milwaukee second baseman Rickie Weeks felt a "pop" in his hamstring Wednesday against the Giants. SOURCE: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Insight: Weeks suffered the injury while running out a grounder in the eighth inning. The Brewers are calling his injury a strained hamstring but we think it could be more serious than that. Either way, we'd be shocked if Weeks is able to avoid the disabled list.

8/4/2013 1:56:00 PM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is not in Sunday's lineup versus Washington.
Insight: The low-average hitting Weeks (.215, 10 HR, 24 RBI, 7 SB) needs to get going if he is to put up 20 homers for a fifth consecutive season. He is 3-for-8 in the first two games of the series with the Nats.

7/25/2013 10:05:00 AM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is a career .412 hitter against Padres starter Edinson Volquez with a pair of homers and a 1.347 OPS.
Insight: The low-average hitting Weeks (.217, 10 HR, 22 RBI, 7 SB) needs to get going if he is to put up 20 homers for a fifth consecutive season. He's also just 2-for-21 since the All-Star break so he needs this favorable matchup to hopefully get him started.

7/14/2013 12:15:00 PM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is hitting just .193 (11-for-57) with 17 strikeouts over his last 17 games, and he's just 3-for-18 (.167) with four strikeouts against Diamondbacks starter Ian Kennedy.
Insight: Weeks looked to be breaking out of his season-long slump when he hit .444 with five homers and a 1.399 OPS in 15 games from June 2-26, but he has slipped back into it over the past few weeks. Combine that with his matchup Sunday against Kennedy, and fantasy owners should not have Weeks in the lineup.

7/10/2013 10:02:00 AM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is a career .556 hitter (5-for-9) with a pair of home runs and four extra base hits against Reds starter Mike Leake.
Insight: Weeks, a lifetime .250 hitter, is 3-for-7 in the first two games of the series. When you find a favorable matchup like this, you have to jump on it because it happens so rarely.

7/8/2013 10:22:00 AM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is a career .458 hitter (11-for-24) with a pair of home runs against "Mr. Two No Hitters" Homer Bailey.
Insight: Weeks is a lifetime .249 hitter, so when you find a favorable matchup like this, you have to jump on it because it happens so rarely.

7/2/2013 4:12:00 PM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is hitting .333 over the past four weeks to bring his average to a much more respectable .228.
Insight: That's still not very good, but it's a sign of how well he's been swinging the bat that the team has him in the No. 3 hole on Tuesday.

Hot6/27/2013 10:23:00 AM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is hitting .435 with a 1.370 OPS in June, but he has been stymied by Matt Garza in his career.
Insight: Weeks has gone 2-for-17 with eight strikeouts against the Cubs hurler. The second baseman has put his season back on track after hitting under .200 in each of the first two months, but there's no reason to play him Thursday.

Hot6/25/2013 11:03:00 PM

Insight: Weeks is batting .439 with two doubles, a triple, five homers, nine RBI, 10 runs and an 8/5 K/BB over his last 14 games (11 starts). That platoon with Scooter Gennett should be coming to an end. Fantasy owners need to get Weeks back in the lineup.

6/20/2013 1:52:00 PM
Description: Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks is not in Thursday's starting lineup against Houston.
Insight: Despite a home run last night and hits in 16 of his last 19 games, Weeks is platooning with Scooter Gennett at second base.
