Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) - George Springer homered twice as the Houston Astros crushed the Toronto Blue Jays, 10-1, in spring training action.
Springer drove in five runs for the Astros, who knocked out 18 hits for the game. Fernando Martinez drove in a pair of runs and scored twice.
Houston starter Alex White allowed just one hit over two scoreless innings.
J.P. Arencibia hit a homer to record Toronto's only run of the game. Jose Reyes was a perfect 3-for-3 in the loss.
Toronto starter Brad Lincoln had trouble, allowing four earned runs on three hits in just two-thirds of an inning. Relievers Jeremy Jeffress and Claudio Vargas also had difficulty, allowing three runs apiece in their inning of work.
