Description: Angels catcher Chris Iannetta went a perfect 3-for-3 with a RBI, two runs and a walk on Sunday against the A\'s. Insight: Ianetta tacked on a solo home run in the eighth with the Angels routing the A\'s to get the four-game sweep. Ianetta also hit a home run on Saturday. The catcher is batting .265 with seven home runs and 38 RBI this year.

Ben Tate, RB, CLE8/31/2014 11:01:00 PM
Description: Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports Browns head coach Mike Pettine said he\'s comfortable with running back Ben Tate playing on third down. Insight: This is certainly good news for Tate owners, but it hurts fantasy owners that were hoping rookie Terrance West would get some opportunities to get on the field on third downs. It now looks like West\'s only fantasy value is as a handcuff, which is still a useful because of Tate\'s injury record.
Case Keenum, QB, HOU8/31/2014 2:18:00 PM
Description: Houston quarterback Case Keenum has been waived. Insight: It was the inevitable conclusion after the Texans traded for Ryan Mallett. Figure Ryan Fitzpatrick to start the season, but both Tom Savage and Mallett should also see time under center.

 Michael Carter-Williams, G, PHI8/27/2014 1:59:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder surgery) has not yet been cleared for five-on-five workouts with contact, according to 76ers GM Sam Hinkie. Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He missed 12 games his rookie season, but won the Rookie of the Year with averages of 16.7 points, 0.8 3-pointers, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. If he can stay healthy, he should be a reliable point guard option especially in leagues that have no penalty for turnovers.
 Thaddeus Young, F, MIN 8/23/2014 2:59:00 PM
Description: The Timberwolves have acquired Thaddeus Young as part of a three-team trade with Cleveland and Philadelphia. Insight: Minnesota did a good job to get Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Young for Kevin Love, who made it known that he was leaving in free agency anyway. Young was an underrated fantasy option last season, averaging 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 threes, 2.1 steals (third in the NBA) and 0.5 blocks per game. He\'ll start for the \'Wolves and should be the top offensive option as the team tries to replace Love\'s 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.

 Steve Mason, G, PHI8/21/2014 1:56:00 PM
Description: Flyers goalie Steve Mason (finger) returned to the ice this week after not skating the past three weeks according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Insight: He suffered a broken pinky finger while playing ball hockey, but Mason should be ready for training camp. He posted a 33-18 record with a 2.50 goals against average in 61 games last year.
Clarke MacArthur, LW, OTT8/21/2014 1:48:00 PM
Description: Left wing Clarke MacArthur and the Senators have come to terms on a five-year extension. Insight: MacArthur went on to tell the Ottawa Sun that he will not change the way he plays the game. "Just because I\'ve got a five-year deal, that doesn\'t mean I need to change a whole lot. I kind of want to play the same game. I want to play good in both ends." MacArthur had 24 goals and 31 assists in his first season in Ottawa last year.
