Ben Scrivens, G12/17/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens made 42 saves on 44 shots during Tuesday's overtime loss against Arizona.

David Perron, LW12/10/2014 9:51:00 AM

Ben Scrivens, G11/19/2014 10:52:00 PM
Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens had a horrible game in his start on Wednesday against the Canucks.
Insight: Scrivens allowed five goals on 31 shots. That's bad enough for a .839 save percentage. He is 4-8-1 this season.
Taylor Hall, LW11/18/2014 3:25:00 PM
Description: Oilers left winger Taylor Hall, returned to the ice Sunday and promptly scored a goal, his seventh of the season.
Insight: Hall has 11 points in 12 games and is a must start whether he plays on the first line or the second line.
Ben Scrivens, G11/11/2014 10:47:00 PM
Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens replaced starter Viktor Fasth after he allowed three goals in the first period Tuesday, and Scrivens held the Predators scoreless the rest of the game.
Insight: Scrivens stopped all 18 shots he faced. Unfortunately for Edmonton, it was not enough as they still lost, 3-2.
Viktor Fasth, G11/11/2014 10:46:00 PM
Description: The Oilers pulled starting goalie Viktor Fasth in the first period after he allowed three goals to the Predators on Tuesday.

Mark Arcobello, C11/7/2014 9:54:00 PM
Description: Oilers center Mark Arcobello scored his fourth goal of the season to tie the game for Edmonton in the third period, and Edmonton went on to win, 3-2.
Insight: Arcobello had seven shots and finished plus-one. He has six points in 14 games this season.
Ben Scrivens, G11/6/2014 9:55:00 PM
Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens had a terrible third period against the Bruins on Thursday.
Insight: Scrivens stopped 17-of-18 shots in the first two periods, but allowed three goals on 13 shots in the third period. Boston erased a, 2-1, deficit to beat Edmonton, 5-2.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, C11/4/2014 9:42:00 PM

Insight: It was Edmonton's lone goal, in a 4-1 loss to Philadelphia. Nugent-Hopkins now has seven points on the season.
Andrew Ference, D11/3/2014 4:17:00 PM
Description: Edmonton defenseman Andrew Ference has beenb suspended for three games due to an illegal check.
Insight: Ference has very little fantasy value with just one point in 11 games. He finished last season with 18 points, 77 SOG, 63 PIM and an ugly -18 rating. This suspension shouldn't change any fantasy lineups or rosters.
Taylor Hall, LW11/3/2014 1:48:00 PM

Ryan Whitney, D10/25/2014 12:26:00 PM
Description: The Philadelphia Flyers are interested in Ryan Whitney according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Insight: The St. Louis Blues released Whitney in training camp, so he signed with a Russian team in the KHL. Philadelphia lost two defensemen this week, so they are in dire need of some bodies. They will have to act quickly before Whitney plays a game in Russian, or he will have to go through waivers to return to the NHL.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, C10/17/2014 3:20:00 PM
Description: Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins could return for Friday's game against the Vancouver.
Insight: He missed the past two games. Nugent-Hopkins put up a career-best 56 points last season and should be back on the top line with Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall.
Viktor Fasth, G10/14/2014 4:55:00 PM
Description: Oilers goalie Viktor Fasth will start on Tuesday against the Kings according to the team's play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.
Insight: Fasth saved 39-of-43 shots in his first start on Saturday, so the Oilers will stick with him between the pipes. Fasth and Ben Scrivens are expected to split the team's starts at goalie this season.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, C10/14/2014 4:22:00 PM
Description: Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is expected to miss Tuesday's game against the Kings.

David Perron, LW10/12/2014 10:38:00 AM
Description: Edmonton left wing David Perron had two assists in Saturday's loss to Vancouver.
Insight: After coming off a career-high 57-pont season. Perron now has three points this season. He should continue to be a steady, under-the-radar player, moving forward.

Insight: Ben Scrivens started on opening night but Fasth will be between the pipes against the Canucks on Saturday. Fasth had a .914 save percentage and 2.73 GAA for Edmonton last season.
Justin Schultz, D9/22/2014 2:47:00 PM
Description: the Oilers have a lot of defense-minded defenseman which means the offensive minded Justin Schultz should be a mainstay on the power play.
Insight: The 24-year-old Schultz came into the NHL with huge expectations after putting up 48 points in 34 games in the AHL in 2012-13, but he's yet to be that type of guy in the NHL. At TSN we have him posting 52 points (20 goals) in 2014-15 and getting a lot closer to those lofty goals.
David Perron, LW9/22/2014 2:39:00 PM
Description: Edmonton left wing David Perron came close to a 30-30 season, finishing with 28 goals and 29 assists.
Insight: Perron would be a lot more valuable if he were playing on the top line, but he's more likely to be a second line winger with Benoit Pouliot and a question mark. It's the question mark that is the cause for his TSN projections dropping to 20 goals and 26 assists.
Jordan Eberle, C9/22/2014 2:34:00 PM
Description: Oilers right wing Jordan Eberle should be the third member of Edmonton's top line along with Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
Insight: Eberle (28 G, 37 A) has been a solid points producer for the last three seasons and as long as he stays on this line should be a viable fantasy option, but he's not trending upward like Hall. Another Oiler with a bad plus/minus rating.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, C9/22/2014 2:29:00 PM
Description: Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins produced career-best number sin 2013 with 56 points.
Insight: He's only 21-years-old, starting his fourth season, and should be on both the first line and power play unit, so 60-70 points is possible. We'd like him and the Oilers to play better defense as the -12 rating isn't helping his ADP.
Taylor Hall, LW9/22/2014 2:25:00 PM
Description: Edmonton Oilers young left wing Taylor Hall took a giant leap forward last season, from 50 points in 2012 to 80 points last season but may not make as big a leap this time around.
Insight: We're primarily concerned about the talent surrounding him. He posted 80 points last season (27 G, 53 A), but could take a step back if his teammates can't play at his level. TSN projections have him with 36 goals and 46 assists.
Boyd Gordon, C4/9/2014 8:39:00 PM
Description: Oilers forward Boyd Gordon (shoulder) will not return this season, according to Chris Wescott of edmontonoilers.com.

Description: Oilers goalie Devan Dubnyk was terrific in Friday night's win over Calgary.
Insight: He saved all 27 shots for his second shutout of the year. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Dubnyk. He needs to develop more consistency before fantasy owners can trust him as a nightly starter.
Ryan Smyth, LW12/28/2013 9:32:00 AM
Description: Oilers left wing Ryan Smyth knocked home two goals in Friday's victory over Calgary.
Insight: That ends a 13-game scoring drought for the 37-year-old. Being aggressive seems to be the key to Smyth's success. Both times he's taken six shots this year, he's scored multiple goals. We'll see what he does in Edmonton's next game Saturday against Philadelphia.
