Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah had 13 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 35 minutes Thursday against the Rockets.
Insight: Evidently Noah, aka the new-age Bill Walton, is going to flirt with a triple-double every night for the rest of the season. He's tied for second in the NBA with three, all of which came since Feb. 11. Noah has thrown up 13.3 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 5.6 apg, 1.6 bpg and 1.1 spg his last 43 games and averaged seven-plus assists per game over his last 15.
Description: Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman is hopeful Nikola Pekovic's minutes restriction will be lifted at some point in the next week, according to Nate Sandell of 1500espn.com.
Insight: Minnesota hasn't played Pekovic more than seven minutes at a time since he returned from ankle bursitis. In six games since he rejoined the lineup, the center has averaged 27 minutes per game, but he still managed to produced 16.8 ppg and 8.7 rpg in that stretch.
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum will not play Friday against the 76ers, the team announced. However, he'll be back Saturday.
Insight: Perhaps the Pacers wanted to protect Bynum from the vitriol Philadelphia's crowd would have spewed at him had he played. The center made his Pacers debut Tuesday and had eight points and 10 rebounds over 16 minutes, but he probably won't play much more than that as Roy Hibbert's backup. The Pacers signed him to serve as insurance in the playoffs should Hibbert get into foul trouble or injured.
Description: Heat center Chris Bosh has scored 22 or more points in three of the past four games.
Insight: Bosh had 24 points, seven rebounds and two threes Wednesday against the Nets. He added the 3-point shot to his regular arsenal in January and has made 1.4 triples per game over his last 25 games.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will play Wednesday, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin missed the last seven games. With Nene out with a knee injury until next month, Seraphin will split time at power forward and backup center with Trevor Booker and Drew Gooden, limiting the fantasy value of all three.
Description: Pacers coach Frank Vogel said he'll hold Andrew Bynum out of practice Thursday to protect his knees with the hope that he'll be able to play Friday and Saturday.
Insight: Bynum had eight points and 10 rebounds over 16 minutes in his team debut Tuesday against the Celtics. He probably won't play much more than that as Roy Hibbert's backup. The Pacers signed him to serve as insurance in the playoffs should Hibbert get into foul trouble or injured.
Description: Philadelphia center Nerlens Noel (torn ACL) is not expected to play this season. SOURCE: Marc Narducci, Philly Inquirer
Insight: He was hoping to return on April 4th so he could debut against his hometown Celtics but that was always a bit of a longshot. Noel is definitely a part of the team's plans, just not this season.
Description: Knicks center Tyson Chandler will miss his second straight game Wednesday against the Celtics. SOURCE: Al Iannazzone, Newsday
Insight: He's out for personal reasons. Amare Stoudemire (10.8 ppg, 4.6 rpg) got the start at center Monday versus the Sixers, though he's also out for tonight's game (rest). With those two sidelined, Cole Aldrich (0.9 ppg) will make his first career start.
Description: Pistons center Andre Drummond suffered a right finger injury in Tuesday's win over Sacramento. SOURCE: Vincent Goodwill, Detroit News
Insight: He played through it so we don't think fantasy owners have much to be concerned about. Even with the bad finger, Drummond still produced 15 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots. The win snapped Detroit's three-game losing streak.
Description: Andrew Bynum played well in his debut for Indiana Tuesday against Boston.
Insight: In 16 minutes, Bynum corralled ten rebounds while shooting 3-of-4 from the field. Best of all, Bynum actually played with enthusiasm and heart. He's not going to be much of a fantasy asset with Roy Hibbert standing in his way, but Bynum could be an important factor when the Pacers get to the playoffs.
Description: The Cavaliers will gradually increase center Anderson Varejao's minutes, according to news-herald.com.
Insight: Varejao missed 12 games due to a back injury and played nine minutes in his return Sunday. With Anthony Bennett out at least three weeks with a knee injury, the Cavs will be able to give Spencer Hawes and Varejao enough minutes to make both players solid fantasy options.
Description: Sixers coach Brett Brown thinks practicing 5-on-5 by the end of the season is a realistic goal for Nerlens Noel (knee), according to beat writer Chris Vito.
Insight: Noel hasn't played since tearing his ACL at the University of Kentucky over a year ago, but a tweet he sent out Sunday indicated that he was targeting April 4 for a return. However, Brown's comments Tuesday suggest that the center won't be back this season.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) is expected to return to action Wednesday, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Seraphin was a full participant in Tuesday's practice after missing the last seven games. With Nene out with a knee injury until next month, Seraphin will split time at power forward and backup center with Trevor Booker and Drew Gooden.
Description: Suns center Miles Plumlee took two games to return to form after returning from a knee injury. On Monday he scored 12 points and hauled down nine rebounds with a pair of blocks in 26 minutes of action.
Insight: Plumlee (8.6 ppg, 8.2 rpg) had played just 10 minutes in his first game on Sunday. His Monday numbers are encouraging and he should be watched to see if he can consistently reach those totals.
Description: Suns center Miles Plumlee will draw the start Monday against Los Angeles.
Insight: Plumlee (8.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg) returned from a knee injury Sunday versus Golden State but he came off the bench and only played ten minutes. Rookie Alex Len averaged 5.0 ppg on 45.5 percent shooting during his three-game stint in the starting lineup.
Description: Nerlens Noel hinted on his Twitter account that his Sixers debut could come April 4th against Boston.
Insight: Noel hasn't played since tearing his ACL at the University of Kentucky over a year ago. He's not a big time scorer but when healthy, Noel can be a dominant shot blocker. When Noel comes back, he'll likely be on a minutes limit.
Description: Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins had everything working Sunday against Brooklyn.
Insight: His teammates didn't (the Kings lost by 15) but that's a different story. Boogie totaled 28 points and 20 rebounds though it would have been better without the six turnovers he committed. Cousins' streak of 20-point games is now at five in a row.
Description: Detroit center Andre Drummond (18 points, 22 rebounds) recorded his 45th double-double of the season Sunday against the Celtics.
Insight: All three of Detroit's starting front court players had double-doubles on Sunday. Drummond has collected 16 rpg over his last six contests. His 13.1 rpg average this season is third in the league behind DeAndre Jordan (13.9 rpg) and Kevin Love (13.2 rpg).
Description: Celtics C/PF Kelly Olynyk was productive Sunday in a win against Detroit.
Insight: Olynyk (7.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg) put up 18 points in 18 minutes, giving him a point per minute. He also added six rebounds and two assists. He's been a pleasant surprise for the Celtics and should have a chance to make the All-Rookie team.
Description: Joakim Noah's incredible hot streak continued Sunday in a win against Miami.
Insight: Playing with a sprained thumb, Noah went off for 20 points, 12 boards, seven assists and five blocked shots. No fantasy center offers as wide a skill set as Noah. He has singlehandedly turned Chicago's season around in the absence of Derrick Rose (torn meniscus) and Luol Deng (traded to Cleveland).
Description: Los Angeles center DeAndre Jordan has 33 double-doubles in 64 games this season after putting up just 12 in 82 games last season.
Insight: Jordan leads the NBA with 13.9 rebounds per game and a .663 field-goal percentage. Andre Drummond is the next closest player in field-goal percentage and he's shooting 61.7 percent. Throw in 10.3 ppg, 2.4 bpg and 1.0 spg and you have yourself a top-15 fantasy center despite his putrid .457 free-throw percentage.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic played 30 minutes and had 16 points, six rebounds, three triples and two steals Saturday in his first start since Jan. 22.
Insight: Antic missed six weeks due to a stress fracture in his ankle before returning off the bench on March 5. He has averaged 23.6 minutes, 11.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 threes in 11 games since becoming the starting center on Jan. 3. Elton Brand and Mike Scott both saw less than 20 minutes Saturday night.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter had a 13-10 double-double Saturday against Philadelphia.
Insight: The Jazz have given Kanter 26.6 minutes per game over his last 20 games and he has recorded 14.1 ppg and 7.1 rpg in that span. However, he doesn't provide much in the assist, block and steal categories.
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes filled up the box score with 21 points, 10 rebounds, four threes, three assists, three blocks and a steal in 36 minutes Saturday against the Knicks.
Insight: In nine games since joining the Cavaliers, Hawes has delivered 15.2 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.2 3pg, 2.1 apg and 1.3 bpg. Anderson Varejao returned from a 12-game absence Saturday, but he's expected to come off the bench indefinitely while he works his way back from multiple injuries.
Description: New York center Tyson Chandler has pulled down double-digit rebounds in 11 consecutive games.
Insight: Chandler produced up double-digit points in seven of those 11, including Saturday when he had 15 points and 11 boards at Cleveland. After missing a lot of time in the first half of the season due to a fractured leg, Chandler has quietly posted 10.3 ppg, 12.1 rpg and 1.3 bpg his last 25 games.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic will start at center Saturday, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: Antic missed six weeks due to a stress fracture in his ankle before returning from the last two and averaging 16.5 minutes, 10 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 threes. This is shaping up to be a three-way split between Antic, Elton Brand and Mike Scott.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will not play Saturday, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin will miss his sixth straight game. Trevor Booker has been starting, but his playing time was cut down Wednesday to give more minutes to Drew Gooden, who had 12 points and three rebounds in 19 minutes.
Description: Magic PF/C Kyle O'Quinn will move into the starting lineup for a game Saturday against the Spurs, according to John Denton of orlandomagic.com.
Insight: The Magic are trying to match up with the Spurs by playing a big lineup. Tobias Harris will come off the bench and Moe Harkless will start at small forward with Victor Oladipo (sore ankle) out. O'Quinn has averaged 20.3 minutes, 8.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals over his last eight games. Orlando will probably still find a way to get Harris 30 minutes Saturday.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao is expected to play Saturday but only for one stint, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) missed the last 12 games due to back, knee and wrist injuries. The team acquired Spencer Hawes from the Sixers while Varejao was out and will continue to start him even after Varejao returns.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao didn't play Friday against Charlotte, didn't even make the trip, so Saturday is also unlikely.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries. Spencer Hawes Hawes is playing well with Cleveland averaging 14.7 points, 2.1 threes (53.6 percent from downtown), 9.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks in seven games and is worthy of fantasy consideration.
Description: Memphis center Marc Gasol led the way with 18 points, ten rebounds and three blocks Friday in a win against Chicago.
Insight: Gasol put up similar numbers in Wednesday's loss to Brooklyn (18 points, seven rebounds on 7-for-14 shooting). He's looked sharp since the All-Star break, averaging 15.4 ppg over his last nine appearances.
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah, diagnosed with a sprained thumb, has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game with Memphis. SOURCE: Aggrey Sam, Comcast Sportsnet Chicago
Insight: Noah (12.0 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.8 apg) played through the injury on Wednesday so his status was never really in doubt. With two triple-doubles in his last three contests, Noah needs to be starting everywhere.
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah has been diagnosed with a sprained thumb. SOURCE: Nick Friedell, ESPN Chicago
Insight: Noah (12.0 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.8 apg) played through the injury on Wednesday and we imagine he'll do the same Friday against Memphis. With two triple-doubles in his last three contests, Noah needs to be starting in all formats.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) won't play Friday against Charlotte. SOURCE: Bob Finnan, The News-Herald
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will miss his 12th straight game. Spencer Hawes will likely retain his starting job even after Varejao returns as the team will probably have to ease him back in after the long layoff.
Description: Joakim Noah's triple-double Wednesday against the Pistons was his third of the season.
Insight: Only Indiana guard Lance Stephenson has produced more triple-doubles than Noah. Wednesday Noah (ten points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks) became the first center since David Robinson in 1993-94 to post three triple-doubles involving assists in the same season.
Description: The Pacers had no answer for Al Jefferson (34 points, eight rebounds) Wednesday in a 109-87 Bobcats victory.
Insight: Neither did the Heat Monday night in South Beach (38 points, 19 rebounds). Big Al is on a serious tear right now, averaging 29.3 ppg over his last four contests. Among centers, only DeMarcus Cousins is averaging more points this season (22.3 ppg for Cousins, 21.2 ppg for Jefferson).
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes had another big game Tuesday against the Spurs, posting 20 points, 13 rebounds, three triples, one block and one steal in 33 minutes.
Insight: Hawes has averaged 33.2 minutes, 16 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.3 threes and 1.0 blocks over his last six games. Cavs coach Mike Brown said Monday that Hawes likely will stay in the starting lineup even after Anderson Varejao returns.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) already has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com. He did participate in a limited practice Tuesday, however.
Insight: Seraphin is missing out on a chance to play big minutes with Nene sidelined for six weeks. Trevor Booker (33 mpg, 14.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.5 bpg last two games) will continue to take advantage of the situation.
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard's status for Tuesday's game against the Heat is uncertain after he missed practice Monday, according to the Rockets on Twitter.
Insight: Howard sat out with a sore back and will be a game-time decision. The center, who had back surgery two years ago, has averaged 18.9 ppg, 12.5 rpg this season and is obviously a must start if in uniform.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) is not expected to play Tuesday against the Spurs, though coach Mike Brown left the door slightly open by saying his chances are "slim."
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will likely miss his 11th straight game. Spencer Hawes likely will retain the starting job even after Varejao returns, as the team will have to ease Varejao back into action after the long layoff.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter played 35 minutes off the bench Monday at Milwaukee and had 27 points, 14 rebounds and one steal.
Insight: Kanter put up 15.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game from Jan. 25 to Feb. 22 while Derrick Favors dealt with a hip injury, but prior to going off Monday he had averaged just 22.7 minutes, 8.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in four games since Favors returned to the lineup. The Bucks led by 28 going into the fourth quarter and Favors only played 19 minutes in the game, allowing Kanter to get extra playing time.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson threw up 38 points and 19 rebounds Monday against the Heat.
Insight: You won't hear much about Jefferson because LeBron James had a career-high 61 points in Miami's 17-point win over the Bobcats, but Charlotte's center was masterful. Big Al has been an absolute stud over his last 23 games, averaging 26 ppg and 11.1 rpg in that span.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will miss his fourth consecutive game Monday against the Grizzlies, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin is missing out on a chance to play big minutes with Nene sidelined for six weeks. Trevor Booker took full advantage of Seraphin's and Nene's absence and posted 14 points and seven rebounds against Philadelphia on Saturday. He'll have a tougher time Monday against Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) is not expected to play Tuesday against the Spurs.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will miss his 11th straight game. Coach Mike Brown said Monday that Spencer Hawes likely will retain the starting job even after Varejao returns, as the team will have to ease Varejao back into action.
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard's status for Tuesday's game against the Heat is uncertain after he missed practice Monday, according to the Rockets on Twitter.
Insight: Howard sat out with a sore back. The center had back surgery two years ago and wasn't fully recovered while playing for the Lakers last season, but it hasn't given him trouble to this point in the 2013-14 season.
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes is likely to stay in the starting lineup even when Anderson Varejao returns from his injuries, according to Bob Finnan of news-herald.com.
Insight: Hawes has averaged 33.2 minutes, 15.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.2 threes and 1.0 blocks over his last five games. Varejao will come off the bench as a backup power forward and center when he returns.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) has missed three consecutive games and is questionable for Monday's game against Memphis.
Insight: Trevor Booker took full advantage of his and Nene's absence and posted 14 points and seven rebounds against Philadelphia on Saturday. He should be solid again on Monday if he doesn't have to share time with Seraphin.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic (ankle) will dress for Sunday's game but probably won't play, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: Antic (5.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg) was given a 2-4 week timetable when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right ankle on Jan. 23, but he still hasn't been able to return to the lineup. Elton Brand will get at least one more game as the starter.
Description: New York center Tyson Chandler was extremely active on the boards Sunday against Chicago.
Insight: Chandler, who came down with 22 rebounds on Sunday, has averaged a stunning 17 boards per contest over his last five games. His offensive contributions haven't been as noticeable (11.0 ppg in his last five) but that's nitpicking. Until this rebound binge is over, fantasy owners have no choice but to start Chandler.
Description: Golden State C/PF Jermaine O'Neal wasn't allowed to travel with the team to Toronto because he misplaced his passport. SOURCE: Holly MacKenzie, Sportsnet
Insight: O'Neal won't participate in Sunday's game though he is expected to meet the team in Indiana for their next game Tuesday against the Pacers. O'Neal's absence opens up more minutes for Marreese Speights (5.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg) and Draymond Green (5.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg).
Description: Nets center Andray Blatche had a productive outing Saturday against Milwaukee.
Insight: Blatche chipped in with 19 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and one blocked shot. He shot 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Of course, Blatche, who played 30 of 48 minutes on Saturday, won't see as much playing time when Kevin Garnett (rest) returns to the lineup Monday against Chicago.
Description: Magic PF/C Kyle O'Quinn filled up the stat sheet Saturday in a loss to Miami.
Insight: O'Quinn contributed 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. He also corralled a season-high 15 rebounds. The Norfolk State alum has averaged 19.6 mpg since Glen Davis had his contract bought out last week. He was only playing 14 mpg before that.
Description: Detroit center Andre Drummond made his presence felt Saturday in a loss at Houston.
Insight: Drummond (13.2 ppg, 12.9 rpg) has finished with exactly 16 points and 17 rebounds in each of his last two games. He also blocked two shots Saturday, the same number he had Wednesday versus San Antonio. Now how's that for consistency?
Description: Grizzlies center Marc Gasol had a busy night Saturday against Cleveland.
Insight: Gasol did a little bit of everything, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Saturday was Gasol's first 20-point effort in over three months (November 18th against the Clippers).
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had a big game Saturday in his return from a one-game suspension.
Insight: Boogie went off for 21 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots, though it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota (108-97). Fantasy owners should be aware that Cousins is one technical away from another suspension. We'll see if he can keep his cool Monday against the Pelicans.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) missed Thursday's game and is now listed as out for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Trevor Booker should be the big beneficiary with Nene sidelined for 4-6 weeks as well, but played just 21 minutes on Thursday night. Chris Singleton actually saw more minutes (25) and put up 13 points and nine rebounds.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) missed Thursday's game and is questionable for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Trevor Booker should be the big beneficiary if Seraphin can't go and with Nene sidelined for 4-6 weeks as well, but played just 21 minutes on Thursday night. Chris Singleton actually saw more minutes (25) and put up 13 points and nine rebounds.
Description: Utah center Derrick Favors played 32 minutes Friday against the Cavaliers, his most in three games since returning from a hip injury.
Insight: Favors didn't do much in those minutes, however, posting eight points on 3-of-9 shooting, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. He averaged 27.5 minutes, 17.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 2.5 bpg the previous two games.
Description: Cleveland forward Tristan Thompson has recorded seven double-doubles in his last nine games.
Insight: He came within one rebound of a double-double in each of the other two games during that span. The 22-year-old had 18 points, 14 rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes Friday night. His minutes may drop a bit when Anderson Varejao returns to the lineup, as the team will have to incorporate Spencer Hawes, Thompson and Varejao into the frontcourt mix.
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes had 13 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and one steal Friday against the Jazz.
Insight: Hawes has averaged 33.3 minutes, 15.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.0 blocks over his last four games. He'll continue to start at center until Anderson Varejao returns, and even then the team will probably find enough minutes for him to be a solid fantasy option.
Description: Boston center Kelly Olynyk (toe) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Indiana, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
Insight: He sat out Wednesday with a toe injury after scoring 21 points with eight rebounds and four assists on Feb. 24. The team is expected to get Jared Sullinger back from a concussion Saturday so Olynyk won't have any fantasy value when he returns to the lineup.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) will not play Friday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will miss his ninth straight game. The team acquired Spencer Hawes at the trade deadline and will start him until Varejao returns.
Description: Atlanta center Gustavo Ayon need shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
Insight: With Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Pero Antic and Ayon all injured, the Hawks' frontcourt is a shell of its former self. In a recent game against the Bulls, SG/SF Kyle Korver, SF DeMarre Carroll and PF Elton Brand were Atlanta's three starting frontcourt players. Needless to say they were killed on the boards (55-37).
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert had his first 20-10 game since Nov. 23 Thursday against the Bucks.
Insight: Hibbert made 10-of-16 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line for 24 points with 12 rebounds and two blocks. He came in averaging just 8.5 ppg and 6.6 rpg in February, but has continued to block shots at a high level (2.4 bpg this month).
Description: The Nets will have Kevin Garnett available on Thursday against the Nuggets, according to beat writer Andy Vasquez.
Insight: Garnett's status was in question because Brooklyn is on a back-to-back. The 37-year-old has started all 48 games he has appeared in this season but is averaging just 21.1 minutes per game. He has played only 18.6 minutes per game in February.
Description: Nuggers center Timofey Mozgov is expected to start again Thursday against the Nets, according to nba.com.
Insight: Mozgov started his first game since Dec. 28 Tuesday and had 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes. J.J. Hickson moved to the bench but still played 30 minutes and had 16 points and 25 boards.
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) scrimmaged Thursday and could play Saturday.
Insight: At 18.0 ppg, and 9.1 rpg, Pek has been a must start when available. With Ronny Turiaf also hurting Dante Cunningham has been getting most of the work at center and has averaged 11.3 ppg and 5.8 rpg over the last four contests.
Description: Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for a game and fined $20,000 for throwing a punch and then verbally abusing the referees. He'll miss Friday's game.
Insight: Cousins is a ticking timebomb and fantasy owners who selected him knew it. Now its time to pay the piper. It's a shame such a talented player (22.3 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.9 apg) can't control his emotions.
