Left Field Player Notes
For The Last 15 Days
Corey Dickerson, LF, COL3/29/2015 9:58:00 AM
Description: Rockies left fielder Corey Dickerson left Saturday's game with lower back tightness according to Roto World.
Insight: Dickerson left in the third inning which is being called a precautionary move. He should be back soon, but owners should double check before drafting him.
Domonic Brown, LF, PHI3/27/2015 4:26:00 PM
Description: Phillies left fielder Domonic Brown (Achilles) is looking unlikely for Opening Day.
Insight: This is according to manager Ryne Sandberg. Brown is looking to bounce back this year, but this will not help. Darin Ruf would likely be the biggest benefactor during Brown's absence.
Michael Brantley, LF, CLE3/26/2015 2:20:00 PM
Description: Indians left fielder Michael Brantley is dealing with a tight lower back.
Insight: He's had the problem earlier this spring, so it's looking like an ongoing issue. brantley was a breakout star last season with a .327 batting average, 20 HR, 97 RBI, 94 runsand 23 steals. It's tough playing at a high level with a bad back so fantasy owners should be concerned by this.
Domonic Brown, LF, PHI3/21/2015 10:32:00 AM
Description: Phillies left fielder Domonic Brown has been diagnosed with moderate tendinitis of his left Achilles, according to beat writer Todd Zolecki of mlb.com.
Insight: Brown could miss up to a week, but with no structural damage, at the worst, he should be ready a little after Opening Day. After a 27 HR 2013, Brown disappointed fantasy owners last season hitting just .235 with 10 homers and 63 RBI. Expectations are much lower this season and he could be worth a late-round flier.
Sam Fuld, LF, OAK3/21/2015 10:25:00 AM
Description: Athletics outfielder Sam Fuld was nailed with a pitch on Friday, but X-rays on his jaw were negative.
Insight: Fuld is likely to be the A's fourth outfielder and he's only going to help fantasy owners in one category - steals. He can be left off your roster on draft day.
Alex Gordon, LF, KAN3/16/2015 4:44:00 PM
Description: Royals right fielder Alex Gordon (wrist) took six at-bats against minor leagues on Monday afternoon.
Insight: He has yet to play in a Cactus League game, but should be ready to roll shortly. Gordon is not in danger of missing Opening Day as of now.
