Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed defensive tackle Bryant Turner.
Terms of the deal for the CFL All-Star were not disclosed. He was set to become a free agent on Friday.
"Bryant is an integral part of our defense and organization as a whole," said Bombers general manager Joe Mack in a statement Friday. "His character both on and off the field are exactly what we look for as representatives of the Blue Bombers, and we are thrilled to get this deal completed and have Bryant anchor our defensive line once again."
Turner finished the 2012 season with 20 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles and fumble recovery. He had three sacks and 15 tackles in his first CFL season of 2011.
