Stamps QB Tate out for season; Riders DL George suspended

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Calgary Stampeders quarterback Drew Tate is out for the season with a fractured right arm suffered in his club's 36-30 victory over Saskatchewan in the West Division Semi-Final.

Tate was also the recipient of a helmet-to-helmet hit by Roughriders defensive lineman Tearrius George, earning George a one-game suspension that will be served in the Riders' 2013 regular-season opener.

Tate threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, including the game-winning 68-yard score to Romby Bryant with seconds remaining in regulation.

Kevin Glenn, who was benched for last week's game in favor of Tate despite having played in 15 games in Tate's initial injury absence, has been given the nod under center as the Stamps head to Vancouver to face the B.C. Lions on Sunday with a trip to the 100th Grey Cup on the line.
