Description: Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky is a high-end No. 3 defenseman in fantasy this year.
Insight: Zidlicky will start the year playing the point on the Devils power play. Eventually, we expect youngster Eric Gelinas to take that role sometime this year, but Zidlicky should produce on the power play and put up solid plus/minus numbers with D-partner Bryce Salvador.

    4/13/2014 10:48:00 PM
Description: Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky had two goals in the season finale Sunday against the Bruins.
Insight: Zidlicky finished with 12 goals, his most since 2008-09 and just one less than he had in the previous three seasons combined. He also had 30 assists.

    12/21/2013 9:59:00 PM
Description: Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky scored a pair of goals Saturday against the Capitals.
Insight: In 36 games Zidlicky has five goals, his most since 2010-11, and 17 points, just two off from last season.

Description: Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky is questionable for Tuesday's game against Columbus while dealing with an upper body injury
Insight: Zidlicky has 14 points in 30 games along with 47 SOG and 32 PIM so he's certainly got fantasy value when on the ice.

    3/4/2013 10:10:00 PM
Description: Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky accounted for both of New Jersey's goals Monday in a loss to the Maple Leafs.
Insight: That gives Zidlicky ten points for the season. His -3 rating leaves something to be desired but fantasy owners have to be impressed with his 22 penalty minutes this season.

    2/9/2013 5:12:00 PM
Description: Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky still has zero goals this season but it won't be long before he scores if he keeps taking six SOG like he did Saturday versus Pittsburgh.
Insight: Zidlicky has four assists in 11 games but zero goals despite taking 26 SOG. He's New Jersey's top power-play defenseman and should be owned in all leagues.

    4/2/2011 2:56:00 PM
Description: Marek Zidlicky is not in the Wild's lineup for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay and will not suit up for Sunday's game against Detroit because of a lower-body injury. TSN
Insight: Keep him out of your lineup for the weekend and possibly next week.

    3/17/2011 1:51:00 PM
Description: Marek Zidlicky is expected to miss Thursday's game against San Jose with a lower-body injury. Minneapolis Star-Tribune

    2/8/2011 2:11:00 PM
Description: Marek Zidlicky returned to practice on Tuesday, wearing a no-contact jersey. Minneapolis Star-Tribune
Insight: Zidlicky has been out since December 29 with a shoulder injury. Although he was thought to be missing the rest of the season, he could be back as early as next week.

Insight: Wild GM Chuck Fletcher said that surgery is an option, which would mean that Zidlicky would be shelved for the season. Either way, it looks like Zidlicky will miss significant time, meaning that you should start looking for other options for your fantasy team's blueline.

    12/30/2010 2:47:00 AM
Description: According to Wild coach Todd Richards, Marek Zidlicky will be out "awhile" with a shoulder injury. Minneapolis Star-Tribune
Insight: Zidlicky owners should probably prepare for a stint on IR, although more details should be released in the coming days.
