    St. Louis Blues

    Position
    C

    Jersey
    Name  Jason Arnott
    Born  10/11/1974
    Height  6-5
    Weight  220
    Shoots  R
    11/5/2013 10:23:00 PM
Description: Jason Arnott has announced his retirement from the NHL.
Insight: The 39-year-old will walk away with 417 goals in 1,244 career games. He last played for the Blues in 2012.

    1/27/2013 9:07:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN's Katie Strang, Jason Arnott's deal with the Rangers has been called off after the veteran forward couldn't pass his physical.
Insight: Arnott has always been a solid contributor in fantasy but it could be hard for him to find work now that his health is a concern.

    1/26/2013 6:29:00 PM
Description: The Rangers have signed forward Jason Arnott to a one-year contract reportedly worth a cap hit in the range of $1.6 to $1.7 million. SOURCE: Darren Dreger, TSN
Insight: Arnott will give the Rangers depth at the center position but won't do enough to factor into fantasy lineups. The veteran had 34 points in 72 games with St. Louis last season.

    5/4/2012 11:50:00 AM
Description: St. Louis center Jason Arnott is questionable for Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals Sunday against Los Angeles with a lower body injury.
Insight: The Blues center had 17 goals and 17 assist in the regular season, but just one point in seven playoff games. He did not skate on Wednesday which means you should make alternate plans.

    3/21/2012 2:36:00 PM
Description: Jason Arnott is probable for Wednesday's game with Anaheim due to body soreness.
Insight: At 37-years-old, with the Blues already set to make the playoffs, it figures that Arnott will get time off from here to the end of the season. He has 16 goals and 16 assists in 64 games. If you use him in your lineup, you must check back just before the drop of the puck.

    3/18/2012 2:59:00 PM
Description: Jason Arnott missed the last two games because of "body soreness" which translates to giving a 37-year-old some time off before the playoffs begin.
Insight: Arnott has 16 goals and 16 assists in 64 games this season and gets the odd day off now and then which you will have to plan for if you expect to use him in your fantasy lineup.

    9/28/2011 2:54:00 PM
Description: Jason Arnott is expected to be sidelined for one week, as he requires surgery to remove a cataract from his right eye. TSN
Insight: The Blues expect new acquisition Arnott to be back in the lineup for the team's regular-season opener.

    7/6/2011 10:20:00 PM
Description: The St. Louis Blues have signed Jason Arnott to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million. TSN
Insight: Arnott scored 31 points (17g-14a) in 73 games split between New Jersey and Washington last season. The Blues just got a little older with the signings of Arnott and Jamie Langenbrunner on Wednesday. Arnott will likely fit into a second-line or third-line role for the Blues, so his point total won't likely increase a great deal.

    3/15/2011 12:31:00 PM
Description: Jason Arnott is listed as week-to-week with an undisclosed injury. Washington Capitals
Insight: Arnott did not join the Capitals on their road trip and will not play Tuesday against Montreal. Too bad for the Capitals and fantasy owners, as Arnott has been a solid acquisition with five points in seven games as a Capital.

    2/28/2011 4:28:00 PM
Description: The New Jersey Devils have traded forward Jason Arnott to the Washington Capitals for forward David Steckel and a second-round pick in 2011. TSN
Insight: Arnott was likely traded by the Devils for salary cap reasons and to possibly free up money to attempt to re-sign Zach Parise. He should provide the Capitals with some size and scoring help up front while looking like a good fit on the second line. Steckel is best known for his hit on Sidney Crosby at the Winter Classic - one of two hits that supposedly sidelined Crosby with a concussion.

    12/3/2010 8:02:00 AM
Description: Arnott scored his ninth goal of the season on Thursday against Montreal.
Insight: Arnott has three goals in his last five games to give him nine goals and four assists in 25 games. (RapidDraft.com)

    11/23/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: Arnott scored two goals on Monday night in a win over the Capitals.
Insight: Arnott has now scored eight goals on the year with four coming in his last six games. (RapidDraft.com)

    11/22/2010 11:56:00 PM
Description: Jason Arnott scored two goals with a +2 in the Devils' 5-0 win over Washington on Monday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Arnott has not been immune to the Devils' struggles this season, as he entered the game with ten points (6g-4a) and a (-9) in 20 games.

    11/11/2010 3:06:00 AM
Description: Jason Arnott scored two goals in the Devils' 5-4 shootout loss to Buffalo on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: If you had Arnott benched for this game, we don't blame you. Arnott had managed just a goal and an assist in his previous eight games. He has six goals and three assists and a (-8) in 16 games for the struggling Devils.

    11/11/2010 1:01:00 AM
Description: Arnott was the top star in New Jersey's home loss to Buffalo for knocking home two goals on five shots.
Insight: It was Arnott's first multi-goal game of the season. He has just six goals and nine points for the year, neither of which ranks better than 70th in the league. (RapidDraft.com)
