Moore returns for second stint with Rangers
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Journeyman forward Dominic Moore will start a second stint with the New York Rangers, agreeing to terms on a contract with the club on Friday.
Moore stepped away from the game for the 2012-13 season to care for his wife, who had been diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer. She passed away Jan. 7.
The 32-year-old is now returning to the NHL with the team who drafted him in the third round of the 2000 draft.
Moore most recently played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks in 2011-12, but also spent time with the Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens and Florida Panthers since leaving the Rangers in 2006.
Over the course of his career, Moore has scored 67 goals and registered 118 assists in 530 games.
