    Name  Kevin Kolb

    Height  6-3

    College  Houston

Description: Free agent quarterback Kevin Kolb hurt any chances of latching on for the upcoming season after being arrested for boating while intoxicated last weekend.
Insight: Stops in Philadelphia, Arizona and Buffalo have proven he can't lead an offense to the playoffs, so at this point we expect his career is pretty much over.

    8/25/2013 9:21:00 PM
Description: The feeling around Buffalo is that the concussion Kevin Kolb suffered Saturday against the Packers may have been career-ending. SOURCE: Tim Graham, The Buffalo News
Insight: Wow. In 24 hours Kolb went from being the Bills' Week 1 starter to possibly never playing another NFL down. With E.J. Manuel (knee surgery) unlikely to be back for Week 1 against the Patriots, the Bills now turn to journeyman Matt Leinart at quarterback.

    8/24/2013 6:42:00 PM
Description: Bills QB Kevin Kolb got hit in the head Saturday against Washington. He's been taken to the locker room for concussion tests.
Insight: He's done for the day and now his status might be in question for Week 1 against the Patriots. With rookie E.J. Manuel still recovering from knee surgery, Jeff Tuel is the only healthy quarterback on Buffalo's roster.

    8/9/2013 12:56:00 PM
Description: Buffalo quarterback Kevin Kolb returned to practice on Friday after missing the past six days with a sore knee.
Insight: Rookie E.J. Manuel has been getting the reps in his absence and will start in Sunday's preseason opener.

    8/3/2013 7:59:00 PM
Description: Buffalo quarterback Kevin Kolb left practice on Saturday morning after slipping and falling, according to Sal Capaccio of WGR SportsRadio 550.
Insight: Rookie E.J. Manuel has been receiving praise from management and Kolb can ill-afford to be sidelined if he wants to start the season under center. Updating the earlier report, Bills coach Doug Marrone says he "tweaked his knee" and is day-to-day.

    8/3/2013 10:33:00 AM
Description: Buffalo quarterback Kevin Kolb left practice on Saturday morning after slipping and falling, according to Sal Capaccio of WGR SportsRadio 550.
Insight: Rookie E.J. Manuel has been receiving praise from management and Kolb can ill-afford to be sidelined if he wants to start the season under center.

    3/30/2013 9:34:00 PM
Description: Adam Caplan from PhiladelphiaEagles.com is reporting that Buffalo has agreed to a two-year contract with quarterback Kevin Kolb.
Insight: He'll earn $13 million over the next two seasons. Kolb was released by Arizona earlier in the month. He'll take over for Ryan Fitzpatrick under center.

    3/14/2013 7:33:00 PM
Description: Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network hears that the Cardinals are getting ready to cut quarterback Kevin Kolb.
Insight: We're expecting the move to come sometime in the next 24 hours as Kolb is due for a $2 million roster bonus on Saturday. Manish Mehta from the New York Daily News believes that the Jets will be interested in Kolb as soon as the Cards let him go.

    2/22/2013 8:41:00 PM
Description: Chris Mortensen from ESPN reports that the Cardinals are attempting to restructure Kevin Kolb's contract.
Insight: If the two sides can't work out a deal, Arizona could opt to cut Kolb before March 15th, which is the day Kolb will be eligible to receive his $2 million roster bonus. Fantasy owners should stay away from any quarterback wearing a red bird on his helmet next season.

    12/12/2012 12:58:00 PM
Description: Arizona quarterback Kevin Kolb (ribs) has been placed on injured reserve, ending another disappointing season.
Insight: The Cardinals' offense is ranked 32nd out of 32 teams and will have to live with John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and newly-signed Brian Hoyer as their quarterbacks over the final three weeks.

    12/10/2012 3:47:00 PM
Description: Arizona quarterback Kevin Kolb (ribs) is not expected to return for Week 15, leaving coach Ken Whisenhunt stuck choosing between John Skelton and Ryan Lindley.
Insight: The Cardinals' offense is ranked 32nd out of 32 teams, producing just 14.3 ppg. They have been even worse over the second half of the season averaging 11.8 ppg over the past five games, including being shutout on Sunday by Seattle.

    11/26/2012 8:36:00 PM
Description: Arizona coach Ken Wisenhunt doesn't believe injured quarterback Kevin Kolb will be ready for Week 13's game against the Jets.
Insight: Kolb injured his ribs and sternum back in Week 6 and hasn't played since. Rookie Ryan Lindley got the start at QB last week against the Rams and threw four interceptions.

    10/16/2012 5:46:00 PM
Description: According to CBSSports' Jason La Canfora, Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb will miss "six weeks or more" with sternum and shoulder injuries.
Insight: It was only a matter of time before Arizona's offensive line allowed Kolb to get injured. The Cardinals will have to go with opening day starter John Skelton for the foreseeable future, but they better have a backup plan against Jared Allen and the Vikings this week in case Skelton cannot hold up to the punishment.

    10/16/2012 2:13:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Arizona quarterback Kevin Kolb is expected to miss "several weeks." Kolb reportedly had multiple ribs detach from his sternum as well as suffering a sprained sternoclavicular joint in his chest area against the Bills in Week 6.
Insight: John Skelton, the Cardinals' opening day starter, was ineffective in relief of Kolb Sunday. He completed just 2-of-10 passes for 45 yards and an interception. Skelton will take over QB duties for several weeks. He's not a fantasy option; we just hope he can get the ball to Larry Fitzgerald on a consistent basis.

    10/15/2012 2:28:00 PM
Description: Arizona QB Kevin Kolb, who injured his ribs with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter last Sunday, will have an MRI on Monday. X-rays were negative.
Insight: John Skelton struggled in Kolb's place, completing just two of ten passes for 45 yards and an interception. Kolb's status for next week's game in Minnesota is unknown.

    10/14/2012 7:59:00 PM
Description: Arizona QB Kevin Kolb injured his ribs with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and did not return.
Insight: John Skelton struggled in Kolb's place, completing just two of ten passes for 45 yards and an interception. Kolb's status for next week's game in Minnesota is unknown.

    10/4/2012 11:42:00 PM
Description: Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb was sacked nine times by the Rams on Thursday night. He finished 28-of-50 for 289 yards as the Cardinals dropped to 4-1 with a 17-3 loss.
Insight: Kolb has been put on the turf 17 times in the last two games. The good news for fantasy owners is that he didn't melt down Thursday despite having a reputation of being skittish in the pocket. He kept taking hit after hit and getting up but he just didn't have enough time to make the plays necessary to generate any offense.

    9/30/2012 7:47:00 PM
Description: Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb threw for 324 yards and three scores to offset his two interceptions. More importantly, he led Arizona to another win, this time in overtime against Miami.
Insight: Kolb isn't giving the starting job back to John Skelton, especially when the Cardinals are winning ballgames. He's a risky fantasy proposition but at least he's using top weapon Larry Fitzgerald.

    9/25/2012 6:18:00 PM
Description: According to Kent Somers of the Sporting News, there is little question Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt will stick with Kevin Kolb as long as Kolb is playing well and Arizona is winning.
Insight: Kolb has guided the Cardinals to two straight wins and led a game-winning drive after taking over for John Skelton in Week 1. With four passing touchdowns, a rushing score and just one turnover, Kolb has made his way into the starting discussion in two-QB leagues.

    9/23/2012 7:20:00 PM
Description: Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb exacted revenge on his former team Sunday, throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns to help Arizona defeat Philadelphia.
Insight: Most importantly, Kolb found Larry Fitzgerald nine times for 114 yards and a touchdown.
