    New York Giants

    Position
    DE

    Jersey
    91
    Name  Justin Tuck
    Born  3/29/1983
    Height  6-5
    Weight  265
    College  Notre Dame
    12/22/2012 11:02:00 AM
Description: New York defensive end Justin Tuck sat out Friday's practice because of a shoulder injury.
Insight: He's questionable for Sunday's tilt against Baltimore. Adrian Tracy would probably get the start at left end for the Giants if Tuck is unavailable.

    9/19/2011 3:46:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Suzy Kolber reports Giants LE Justin Tuck (neck) will "likely" suit up for Monday Night Football against the Rams.
Insight: Tuck has been limited in his practices but he said he wanted to play. We're guessing he doesn't see his normal amount of defensive snaps tonight, but he may not need to. He'll square off against RT Jason Smith.

Description: Justin Tuck (neck) is now confident that he will play against the Rams Monday night. Source: ESPN New York
Insight: In the article, he says, "I don't see how I'm not going to play." That's just coming from him and it doesn't sound like he has medical clearance. Check on his status throughout the week and have other options at the ready, just in case, since this is a Monday night game.

Description: Giants LE Justin Tuck (questionable, neck) will travel with the team to Washington. Source: Ohm Youngmisuk via Twitter
Insight: It's a good sign that he'll be active on Sunday. Whether he's active or not will depend on how he feels during pregame warmups. Justin Trattou was signed off the practice squad just in case Tuck couldn't play.

    9/8/2011 4:06:00 PM
Description: Giants DE Justin Tuck (neck) is uncertain about his status for Sunday's game against the Redskins. Source: ESPN New York
Insight: Tuck suffered a stinger in the third preseason game and is still being bothered by it. He's practiced in limited fashion and even Tuck admitted that he's concerned but not panicked by it. He'll take it easy the rest of the week, but check his practices the rest of the week and his status game day and have another DL option at the ready, just in case.

    10/13/2009 11:37:00 PM
Description: Tuck had an excellent showing in Week 5 against Oakland, with six tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Insight: Tuck appears to be fully recovered from his left shoulder injury suffered in Week 2, and is one of the top DEs to have in IDP leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

    Probable10/2/2009 11:22:00 AM
Description: Tuck (left shoulder) practiced fully on Thursday.
Insight: Tuck looks likely to be ready to go for Sunday's game against Kansas City. (SportsBuff.com)

    Questionable10/1/2009 9:58:00 AM
Description: According to the Newark Star Ledger, Tuck (left shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday but hinted he may be back on Thursday.
Insight: Tuck played eight snaps last week against Tampa Bay, and said he was "scared" to test his shoulder injury. More will be known about his status for Sunday against Kansas City as the week goes on. (SportsBuff.com)

    Questionable9/25/2009 2:34:00 PM
Description: According to the Newark Star Ledger, Tuck (left shoulder) did not practice on Friday.
Insight: The Giants can probably beat Tampa Bay this Sunday without Tuck, so they may hold him out so he is 100% for more important games down the road. (SportsBuff.com)

    Questionable9/24/2009 1:10:00 PM
Description: According to Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News, Tuck (left shoulder) has a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Insight: Tuck could make the injury worse if he trys to play with it. The recovery timetable for his injury is two weeks, according to some sources. The Giants may (and should?) play it safe and hold Tuck out of Week 3's game against Tampa Bay. (SportsBuff.com)

    Doubtful9/22/2009 11:32:00 PM
Description: According to Mike Garafalo of the Newark Star Ledger, Tuck (left shoulder) avoided serious injury, but could miss 1-2 weeks.
Insight: The Giants can probably manage without Tuck for Week 3 against Tampa Bay, and IDP leaguers should have a backup plan in case he is out. No official word has been given by the team. (SportsBuff.com)

    Questionable9/21/2009 11:58:00 AM
Description: Tuck (left shoulder) left Sunday night's game against Dallas with a shoulder injury and did not return.

Description: Tuck has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after registering five tackles and 1.5 sacks in the Giants' 23-17 win over the Redskins.
Insight: Tuck will try to continue his Week 1 success in Sunday night's divisional battle with the Dallas Cowboys. (SportsBuff.com)
