    New Orleans Saints

    Position
    RB

    Jersey
    33
    Name  Chris Ivory
    Born  3/22/1988
    Height  6-0
    Weight  222
    College  Tiffin University
    12/28/2014 6:28:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory had 13 carries for 29 yards versus the Dolphins.
Insight: Good thing Geno Smith had perhaps his best day as a pro because Ivory and Chris Johnson did nothing on the ground. Ivory finished the season with 821 rushing yards.

    12/28/2014 12:10:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory is active for Week 17 along with Chris Johnson.
Insight: The Jets will have both backs at their disposal as will fantasy owners although neither is recommended versus a tough Dolphins defense.

    12/21/2014 6:21:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory posted a team-high 53 rushing yards in Week 16.
Insight: He had 11 carries and did not contribute in the passing game. Chris Johnson recorded 30 yards on 10 carries and three yards on one catch.

    12/15/2014 10:50:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory once again shared the workload evenly with Chris Johnson.
Insight: Ivory rushed 12 times for 25 yards and a touchdown, Johnson rushed 10 times for 55 yards. Neither guy holds great upside right now.

    12/7/2014 6:17:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory rushed for a team-high 73 yards on 16 carries.
Insight: Chris Johnson also had 16 carries for 53 yards. Neither guy holds great upside right now.

    12/2/2014 9:33:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory rushed 16 times for 62 yards.
Insight: He was the thunder and Chris Johnson the lightning as the Jets racked up 277 yards on the ground. It wasn't enough to win the game, but both backs posted decent numbers and the Jets could employ the same strategy next weekend against the Vikings who are yielding 123.8 ypg on the ground.

    11/9/2014 7:11:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory rushed fora team-high 51 yards Sunday versus Pittsburgh.
Insight: He did so on 14 carries, and is clearly the lead back in the Jets' backfield. Chris Johnson had seven carries for 23 yards.

    10/26/2014 5:32:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory was unable to buildoff his impressive Week 7 performance.
Insight: After 107 yards and a touchdown last week, Ivory rushed for only 43 yards on Sunday. Chris Johnson was not any better, totaling only three carries for seven yards. Ivory is clearly the lead dog in New York.

    10/17/2014 9:24:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory reappeared after being two ugly games to post 107 yards and a score on 21 carries and catch four balls for 18 yards.
Insight: Ivory was "the guy" with Chris Johnson as an afterthought and we liked what we saw.

    Cold10/15/2014 8:18:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory has disappeared over the last two games.
Insight: The promise of two double-digit fantasy point days to start the season has faded and Ivory can't be started at this point in time.

    10/6/2014 10:00:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory rushed a team-high nine times for just 44 yards.
Insight: It was better production than fellow running back Chris Johnson, but neither posted fantasy-worthy numbers in a 31-0 blowout.

    9/28/2014 5:32:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory rushed 17 times for 84 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards in Week 4 against Detroit.
Insight: He touched the ball 11 times more than Chris Johnson, but unfortunately Johnson stole the touchdown. It remains a pretty evenly distributed backfield, at least, fantasy wise.

    9/16/2014 1:11:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory got the better of Chris Johnson in Week 2, rushing for 43 yards and a score on 13 carries.
Insight: Johnson saw 12 rushed for 21 yards. This is very close to a 50-50 situation and until one of the guys takes control, it will be difficult to start either back in fantasy lineups.

    9/8/2014 12:53:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory played 30-of-70 offensive snaps in the Jets' Week 1 victory over the Raiders. Chris Johnson barely had more playing time with 33 offensive snaps.
Insight: Even though Johnson out-touched Ivory 18 to 10, it is really looking like the workload is going to be split right down the middle. The duo, along with Bilal Powell, averaged 7.4 yards per carry. As much as the Jets would like to give quarterback Geno Smith more responsibilities, this team is going to be a run-first offense. Both Johnson and Ivory are worth stashing away on the bench.

    8/10/2014 1:48:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory has a rib cartilage injury and is uncertain to play in the second preseason game. SOURCE: Rich Cimini, ESPN New York
Insight: Ivory, who has always been injury-prone, left the preseason opener with the rib injury. Chris Johnson's best chance to return RB2 numbers is Ivory going down. Johnson scored a one-yard touchdown after Ivory left in the first preseason game.

    8/8/2014 9:32:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory injured a rib in Thursday's preseason opener.
Insight: Chris Johnson ended up scoring from a yard out which would normally be Ivory time. It's early, but Ivory's history of injuries makes this a concern. Update: X-rays were taken and coach Rex Ryan said he "would be fine."

    8/7/2014 8:34:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory injured a rib in Thursday's preseaosn opener.
Insight: Chris Johnson ended up scoring from a yard out which would normally be Ivory time. It's early, but Ivory's history of injuries makes this concerning.

    7/29/2014 11:40:00 AM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory was confirmed as the team's goal line back, according to RBs coach Anthony Lynn.
Insight: Chris Johnson is the No. 1, but this will hurt his fantasy value. Ivory is a clear No. 2 and goal line back ... when healthy. The Jets also have Bilal Powell and Daryl Richardson in the backfield, but they don't figure to see much time, barring injury.

    7/24/2014 1:45:00 PM
Description: Injury-prone Jets running back Chris Ivory is already sitting out drills with a hamstring problem.
Insight: Ivory dealt with a hamstring injury last season and despite his talent we want no part of him this season. Chris Johnson is the No. 1 and Ivory a clear No. 2, when healthy. The Jets also have Bilal Powell and Daryl Richardson in the backfield.

    12/22/2013 5:41:00 PM
Description: Jets running back Chris Ivory had his third 100-yard game of the season Sunday against the Browns.
Insight: Ivory dealt with a hamstring injury early in the season and didn't take the reigns of the team's backfield until Week 6, but he's been a solid flex option since then with 699 rushing yards and three touchdowns over his last nine games.
