Description: Patriots receiver Brandon LaFell caught just four balls for 55 yards Thursday night against the Jets.
Insight: The excitement of Week 6's huge game against Buffalo (4-97-2) has quickly faded, but at least he's still involved in the offense. It's just going to be hard to figure out when he's going to go big.

10/13/2014 6:16:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon LaFell caught four passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns against the Bills in Week 6.
Insight: Tom Brady is back, so the Patriots recieving game is relevant again, but Brady is spreading the ball around so much, it is hard to predict who will score big when. Rob Gronkowski is the only viable fantasy option in the New England receiving core.

Insight: The contract is worth $11 million. LaFell has averaged 639 yards and four touchdowns over his last four seasons. He's a late-round flyer at best in fantasy leagues.

10/24/2013 2:28:00 PM
Description: Carolina wideout Brandon LaFell got in a solid afternoon of practice Wednesday and is probable for Thursday's game with Tampa Bay.
Insight: LaFell has been dealing with a sore knee. We keep seeing small glimpses of his ability to be a viable fantasy wideout, but not enough. After posting 107 yards and a score in Week 6, he slipped backward last week with a three-catch, 35-yard performance.

Description: Carolina wideout Brandon LaFell didn't practice Thursday. He's still dealing with a turf toe injury. SOURCE: Jonathan Jones, Charlotte Observer
Insight: LaFell practiced on a limited basis last Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday and ended up playing Sunday but he failed to record a catch. We'll see tomorrow if he is going through the same routine this week.

12/16/2012 3:34:00 PM
Description: Carolina wideout Brandon LaFell will be on the field for Sunday's game against the Chargers. LaFell had been questionable because of a toe injury.
Insight: LaFell has scored a touchdown in two of his last three games and he could get another one this week against San Diego's below average pass defense (22nd in the league at 242.9 yards per game).

12/14/2012 2:35:00 PM
Description: Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell (foot, toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against San Diego. Coach Ron Rivera called it 50-50 when asked about the chance of Lafell playing.
Insight: Not only does LaFell have a turf toe injury, he's also dealing with a chipped bone in his foot. Louis Murphy will start if LaFell is inactive and caught five balls for 36 yards last week.

12/9/2012 12:20:00 PM
Description: Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell (foot, toe) is inactive Sunday against the Falcons.
Insight: Not only does LaFell have a turf toe injury, he's also dealing with a chipped bone in his foot. Louis Murphy will start but isn't a safe play.

12/4/2012 7:18:00 PM
Description: Panthers interim GM Brandon Beane says WR Brandon LaFell is dealing with a turf toe injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. SOURCE: Joe Person, Charlotte Observer
Insight: Carolina coach Ron Rivera called LaFell's injury a sprain on Monday. Louis Murphy is the next man up but won't be a fantasy option this week, as Atlanta has allowed just 16.5 fantasy points to opposing wideouts this season.

12/3/2012 10:34:00 AM
Description: Carolina receiver Brandon LaFell sprained his foot in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.
Insight: At this point, the Panthers are still trying to determine the severity of LaFell's injury. For now consider the wideout questionable for Week 14's matchup with the first-place Falcons.

11/4/2012 11:40:00 AM
Description: Carolina wideout Brandon LaFell, who was diagnosed with a concussion will miss the Week 9 game against Washington.
Insight: Louis Murphy could join Steve Smith and tight end Greg Olsen as viable fantasy options.

11/2/2012 1:52:00 PM
Description: Carolina wideout Brandon LaFell, who was diagnosed with a concussion, missed Friday's practice and is doubtful for Sunday's game against Washington
Insight: No receiver wants to miss a game against the Redskins' league-worst pass defense. Expect Steve Smith and Greg Olsen to receive more targets than usual from quarterback Cam Newton if LaFell is inactive.

10/31/2012 9:52:00 PM
Description: Carolina wideout Brandon LaFell has been diagnosed with a concussion.
Insight: LaFell missed Wednesday's practice and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Redskins. Expect Steve Smith and Greg Olsen to receive more targets than usual from quarterback Cam Newton if LaFell is unable to suit up.

9/16/2012 6:18:00 PM
Description: Carolina Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell has nine catches for 155 yards and a score through two games.
Insight: LaFell is a solid complement to Steve Smith and it appears he's going to factor heavily in Carolina's offense this season. He should provide consistent flex-worthy numbers.

9/9/2012 7:33:00 PM
Description: Carolina Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell caught three passes Sunday against the Buccaneers, but he made them count, recording 65 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: LaFell caught 36 passes for 613 yards and three scores last season. He has a shot at 50-750-8 this season as a complement to Steve Smith.

8/23/2012 11:52:00 AM
Description: Carolina Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell said coaches are giving him a "big role" this season, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Insight: LaFell, a former third-round pick out of LSU, caught 36 passes for 613 yards and three scores last season. He's likely to improve upon those numbers in his third NFL season, but temper your expectations; Steve Smith and Greg Olsen are still the team's top two targets.

8/13/2012 5:23:00 PM
Description: Carolina Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell has "pretty much has locked up the No. 2 wide receiver job," according to ESPN.com.
Insight: LaFell, a former third-round pick out of LSU, caught 36 passes for 613 yards and three scores last season and he stands to improve on those numbers in 2012-13. LaFell is currently being drafted in the 12th round (fantasyfootballcalculator.com ADP: 12.06) in 12-team lock drafts, but he may outperform that draft spot by several rounds.

7/25/2012 1:28:00 PM
Description: Carolina Panthers wideout Brandon LaFell could be very productive in 2012 with little competition for the No. 2 job opposite Steve Smith.
Insight: David Gettis will start camp on the PUP list and newly acquired Louis Murphy will get a late start after tweaking a hamstring. LaFell caught 36 for 613 yards and three scores last year and with a confident Cam Newton under center could significantly increase those totals.

10/31/2010 4:07:00 PM
Description: Panthers rookie WR Brandon LaFell was productive again in Week 8, catching four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: This is his first touchdown of the season (and his career), and with so much attention on Steve Smith (9 for 85), Matt Moore is going to need someone else to step up. LaFell, in our opinion, has more fantasy value than David Gettis and should be considered as a top pick up this week.

9/12/2010 11:10:00 AM
Description: According to the NFL Network' Steve Wyche, Panthers rookie WR Brandon LaFell will be starting against the Giants.
Insight: So much for the job still being open. It's a wise move by the Panthers considering Dwayne Jarrett has had enough chances in landing the spot across from Steve Smith. LaFell still isn't worth fantasy consideration yet.
