Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster (knee) is expected to be sidelined for the final two games of the season.
Insight: He has already been ruled out for Thursday's game, and willlikely miss the final one as well. McCluster was not a good option to begin with. He will return to Tennessee in 2015.

    11/24/2014 4:41:00 PM
Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster is battling a concussion.
Insight: He will now have to go through the league's protocol to get cleared. If McCluster does not play in Week 13, Bishop Sankey will see more work on passing-downs.

    11/17/2014 11:45:00 AM
Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster has been limited in practice due to a knee bruise and is questionable for the Monday night game against Pittsburgh.
Insight: McCluster is the team's passing-down back, but has shown he's not fantasy worthy. He's yet to score a touchdown this season and his best yardage total is 58 combined yards.

    11/13/2014 3:27:00 PM
Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster missed Thursday's practice due to a knee bruise.
Insight: McCluster is the team's passing-down back, but should not be considered anything more than an RB4.

    11/10/2014 4:43:00 PM
Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster is being considered day-to-day with a knee bruise.
Insight: He did not return to Sunday's game after departing with the injury. McCluster is the team's passing-down back, but should not be considered anything more than an RB4.

    11/9/2014 2:51:00 PM
Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster left Sunday's game with a knee injury.
Insight: He is questionable to return, but did not have touches during his game-action in Week 10.

    9/15/2014 2:42:00 PM
Description: Titans RB/WR Dexter McCluster is questionable for Sunday's game against Cincinnati de to a foot injury.
Insight: According to a report in The Tennessean, McCluster was seen leaving the locker room in a walking boot. McCluster doesn't have much fantasy value at this time with Shonn Greene and Bishop Sankey in front of him on the depth charts.

    3/13/2014 7:12:00 PM
Description: Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said he thinks of Dexter McCluster as more of a running back than a wide receiver, according to the Tennessean.
Insight: McCluster signed with the Titans this week after spending the last four years in Kansas City. McCluster reeled in 46+ catches in each of the last three seasons but had just 20 carries combined the last two after taking 114 rushes for 516 yards (4.5 ypc) in 2011. Whisenhunt was OC of the Chargers last season and may see McCluster as his new Danny Woodhead (106 carries, 76 receptions, 1,034 yards from scrimmage, eight total TDs in 2013). If that's the case, he could have strong fantasy value.

    3/11/2014 4:35:00 PM
Description: Former Chiefs wideout Dexter McCluster has agreed to a three-year deal with Tennessee, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Insight: A Pro Bowler last season, McCluster is probably one of the more versatile talents in the league. He should see work at wideout, halfback and on special teams next season. McCluster's deal could be worth up to $12 million though only $4.5 million of it is guaranteed.

    12/20/2013 9:50:00 AM
Description: Chiefs wideout Dexter McCluster (ankle/infection) is expected to return for Week 16 against Indianapolis, according to a Kansas City Star report.
Insight: McCluster developed an infection in a small cut on his ankle but he didn't have MRSA. McCluster has 46 receptions for 438 yards and a touchdown as well as 631 yards and two TDs on punt returns this season. He's had at least 46 catches in three straight seasons. While not a fantasy-worthy starter he helps the Chiefs special teams.

    12/14/2013 8:33:00 PM
Description: Chiefs wideout Dexter McCluster (ankle) will miss Sunday's game at Oakland.
Insight: McCluster developed an infection in a small cut on his ankle but he doesn't have MRSA, according to the Associated Press. McCluster has 46 receptions for 438 yards and a touchdown as well as 631 yards and two TDs on punt returns this season. He's had at least 46 catches in three straight seasons.

    12/30/2012 3:03:00 PM
Description: Chiefs wideout Dexter McCluster (illness) is active for Week 17 against the Broncos.
Insight: McCluster has racked up 51 catches this season but just 447 yards since he is used primarily on patterns close to the line of scrimmage. We doubt he'll be active in most fantasy lineups.

    12/28/2012 6:34:00 PM
Description: Chiefs wideout Dexter McCluster (illness) has been added to the injury report as questionable for Week 17. He missed Friday's practice due to an illness. SOURCE: Lindsay Jones, USA Today
Insight: There must be something going around the Chiefs locker room; four other players are listed on the injury report with illnesses this week. McCluster has racked up 51 catches this season but just 447 yards since he is used primarily on patterns close to the line of scrimmage.

    9/30/2012 12:03:00 PM
Description: Chiefs wideout Dexter McCluster will be active for Sunday's matchup against San Diego. McCluster has been dealing with elbow issues on and off throughout the past week.
Insight: McCluster won't see many red zone targets given his small stature (5-foor-8, 170 pounds) but he could rack up some nice yardage against a rather porous Chargers secondary, especially if the Chiefs find themselves trailing and are forced to air it out in the second half.

    9/28/2012 9:19:00 PM
Description: Kansas City WR/RB Dexter McCluster (elbow) is questionable for Sunday's game after practicing in a limited capacity all week.
Insight: McCluster only has seven catches for 60 yards in two games after posting six for 82 in Week 1. He's no guarantee to play Sunday.

    9/23/2012 3:02:00 PM
Description: Kansas City WR/RB Dexter McCluster left the game on Sunday with an apparent elbow injury.
Insight: McCluster had one rushing attempt for five yards and three receptions for 28 yards. Wide receivers Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston should see more opportunities.

    Hot9/10/2012 12:20:00 PM
Description: Kansas City WR/RB Dexter McCluster was targeted a team-high 10 times in the Chiefs 40-24 loss to Atlanta.
Insight: McCluster carried the ball 114 times in 2011 due to the team's many running back injuries, but that isn't likely to be the case in 2012 with the acquisition of Peyton Hillis. It's exciting to see McCluster used this much in the passing game. We know Dwayne Bowe will eventually be the team's target leader, but if McCluster is the No. 2 option he could have significant fantasy value.

    6/9/2012 11:05:00 AM
Description: Kansas City WR/RB Dexter McCluster has been practicing almost exclusively in the slot during OTAs.
Insight: Due to the many injuries suffered by the Chiefs backfield in 2011, McCluster carried the ball 114 times in 2011, but that isn't likely to be the case in 2012 with the acquisition of Peyton Hillis and the return of Jamaal Charles. He's expected to be exclusively a receiver and that will drastically limit his fantasy value.

    5/22/2012 2:46:00 PM
Description: Kansas City has been using Dexter McCluster almost exclusively at the receiver position during this year's OTAs.
Insight: McCluster was a running back at Mississippi and carried the ball 114 times in 2011, but it appears that the only way he run with the football in 2012 is after catching a pass. With Dwayne Bowe, Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston in front of him, he'll likely only see playing time as a kick returner. He should not have much fantasy value in 2012.

    9/21/2011 4:54:00 PM
Description: Chiefs coach Todd Haley said Wednesday that Dexter McCluster should expect 10-14 touches per game on offense. Source: Arrowhead Pride
Insight: With this news, it makes him an intriguing option in deeper PPR leagues, but we're not a fan of the Kansas City offense at all. With this RB, WR eligibility in some leagues, he should line up in the slot and be a target for Cassel. The Chiefs will be behind a lot and he'll be called on to catch passes.
