    Denver Broncos

    Position
    TE

    Jersey
    80
    Name  Julius Thomas
    Born  6/27/1988
    Height  6-5
    Weight  255
    College  Portland State
    3/10/2015 6:04:00 PM
Description: Tight end Julius Thomas has signed with Jacksonville.
Insight: It is a five-year, $46 million deal, which is absurd money for a tight end. Thomas' value will dip in Jacksonville.

    2/24/2015 9:55:00 AM
Description: A report in the Denver Post has Broncos tight end Julius Thomas as not likely to re-sign with the team.
Insight: Denver has 12 unrestricted free agents in all and Demaryius Thomas tops the list as a must sign. Julius Thomas appears to be headed elsewhere as the team won't be able to meet his high salary request. Jacksonville or Atlanta could be his landing spot.

    Cold1/11/2015 8:11:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas looked poised to have another big day versus the Colts after the first drive, but had just an average fantasy day overall.
Insight: Thomas made a 32-yard catch on the opening offensive drive for Denver that brought the Broncos down to the two-yard line. On the next play, Peyton Manning targeted Thomas again in the end zone, and defensive holding was called on the incomplete pass. Remember, Thomas destroyed the Colts in the red zone during the Week 1 contest with three touchdown catches. That drive, however, ended with a Demaryius Thomas touchdown catch, and it was the only one of the day for Denver. J. Thomas finished with six catches and 53 yards.

    Cold1/9/2015 3:43:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas has practiced all week, but there are conflicting reports as to the health of his ankle.
Insight: Some say it's less than 100 percent even with the week off. It should be noted that he torched the Colts in Week 1 for 104 yards and three touchdowns and Indianapolis gave up the fourth-most points to opposing tight ends this season.

    Cold1/6/2015 3:09:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas said the bye week did his ankle a lot of good, according to Larry Hartstein of cbssports.
Insight: Considering Thomas was a non-factor for the final over the final six games of the season (five receptions, 66 yards, zero touchdowns), it could signal his return to a first half production level.

    Cold12/23/2014 9:26:00 AM
Description: Once again Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was in uniform, but didn't show up.
Insight: Thomas caught just two of six targets for 33 yards. H'e been a playoff bust. Actually, he's done nothing for fantasy owners since Week 10.

    Cold12/15/2014 11:17:00 AM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) got in for 29 of 66 plays against San Diego.
Insight: Thomas was also active in Week 14, but didn't see any snaps, so this was an improvement, but he didn't help fantasy owners with just one catch for 30 yards.

    12/14/2014 3:13:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) is active for Week 15, but didn't get into the game.
Insight: Thomas was also active in Week 14, but didn't see any snaps. Thius time fantasy owners hope he gets his full workload.

    12/8/2014 11:24:00 AM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) was active for Week 14, but didn't get into the game.
Insight: Thomas was just a tease for fantasy owners, activated, but not played. He wasn't on the field for a single snap.

    12/7/2014 3:08:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) was limited all week, but is active for Week 14.
Insight: We expected him to return for Week 14, but that doesn't mean he'll see a lot of targets. Peyton Manning has plenty of other options. The Broncos tight end leads all pass catchers with 12 touchdown receptions.

    12/4/2014 1:55:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) was limited on Wednesday and again Thursday, but he was out there.
Insight: We expect him to return for Week 14, but owners need to continue to monitor his progress. The Broncos tight end leads all pass catchers with 12 touchdown receptions.

    12/3/2014 2:21:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) was limited on Wednesday.
Insight: We expect him to return for Week 14, but owners need to monitor his progress throughout the week.

    11/30/2014 7:07:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) missed practice all week and as expected is inactive for Sunday night's game against Kansas City.
Insight: Get your backup plan in place.

    11/28/2014 2:20:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) missed practice Friday and can't be expected to help you on Sunday.
Insight: There still is no official word on whether he will play on Sunday, but I'd say get your backup plan in place.

    11/27/2014 1:23:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday.
Insight: There still is no word on whether he will play on Sunday, but owners have to be encouraged. Monitor Thomas' progress throughout the week.

    11/23/2014 3:20:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) is officially out for Week 12.
Insight: This was expected, and now Jacob Tamme will see a nice bump in value.

    11/21/2014 2:19:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) did not practice on Friday making a clean sweep for the week of missed practices.
Insight: He still has a small chance to play Sunday, but fantasy owners should have a plan in place as the odds now seemed stacked against his playing in Week 12.

    11/20/2014 1:29:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) did not practice on Thursday. He also missed Wednesday.
Insight: He still has a chance to play Sunday, but owners will want to see him on the practice field Friday to ease their concerns.

    11/19/2014 2:00:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.
Insight: He still has a chance to play Sunday, but owners will need to monitor his progress throughout the week.

    11/17/2014 4:54:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas' ankle injury is "not as bad as initially feared," according to The Denver Post.
Insight: The reports also states that it "might be difficult" for him to play in Week 12. As a result, Thomas will likely sit out Wednesday's practice, so we probably will not have a good sense of his availability until Thursday or Friday.
