    Cincinnati Bengals

    Position
    CB

    Jersey
    24
    Name  Adam Jones
    Born  9/30/1983
    Height  5-10
    Weight  180
    College  West Virginia
    9/23/2013 8:49:00 PM
Description: Cincinnati cornerback Adam Jones was arrested yet again on Monday morning. SOURCE: ABC Cincinnati
Insight: The charge he's facing is disorderly conduct. Given Pacman's past criminal history, you'd have to think a suspension is coming. So far, Jones has 12 tackles and one forced fumble this season.

    6/10/2013 8:35:00 PM
Description: Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones was arrested for an incident that happened outside the Great American Ballpark last Wednesday. SOURCE: Cincinnati Enquirer
Insight: Pacman hit a woman in the face but he claims he did it in self defense. Jones is no stranger to off-the-field incidents. If the charges stick, he could be looking at a suspension.

    5/12/2010 11:05:00 PM
Description: Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post predicts that Pacman Jones will not make the Bengals' 53-man roster.
Insight: This prediction could very well come to pass. Pacman is probably not anywhere near the player he once was after so much time away from the game. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/11/2010 8:43:00 PM
Description: Coach Marvin Lewis confirmed that Pacman Jones won't be guaranteed a roster spot with the Bengals.
Insight: Perhaps this is part of a plan to humble the outrageous Jones. It really doesn't matter, though, as Jones will likely only do his damage on special teams, anyway. (sportsBuff.com)

    5/11/2010 9:48:00 AM
Description: Bengals signed CB Pacman Jones to a two-year contract.
Insight: Don't expect Jones to have huge IDP value after being out of football for awhile. His biggest contributions will probably come via special teams. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/6/2010 9:58:00 PM
Description: Bengals agreed to terms with CB Pacman Jones on a two-year contract for the veteran minimum with incentives.
Insight: Those who expect Jones to have a serious IDP impact are likely going to be disappointed. He will probably do most of his damage as a kick returner. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/5/2010 10:15:00 PM
Description: Bengals beat reporter Joe Reedy confirms that the team is currently finalizing a contract with free agent Pacman Jones.
Insight: This move smacks of being a mistake as Jones is unlikely to stay out of trouble. He may not get a ton of chances to help the Bengals before his next inevitable suspension. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/4/2010 7:40:00 PM
Description: The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy confirms that free agent Pacman Jones is expected to sign with the Bengals.
Insight: Jones hasn't been a factor in this league for awhile now. Don't suddenly expect miracles with Cincinnati if he does indeed end up there. (SportsBuff.com)

    4/29/2010 12:34:00 PM
Description: The Nashville Tennessean reports Jones said he is "pretty much partied out" at age 26.
Insight: The Lions have reportedly been interested in Jones, but a deal does not appear imminent. Givent the fact the Lions still have needs in the secondary, the team could wind up bringing him aboard. (SportsBuff.com)

    4/26/2010 11:45:00 AM
Description: The Detroit Free Press reports the Lions still don't have a meeting scheduled with Jones.
Insight: The Lions are the only team known to have shown interest in Jones, so if they don't sign him his NFL career may be over. (SportsBuff.com)

    4/22/2010 3:50:00 PM
Description: John Niyo of the Detroit News reports former NFL player and current NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders thinks the Lions should give Jones a shot.
Insight: Lions' head coach Jim Schwartz was with Jones in Tennessee, so that could make it a good fit, along with the fact the Lions have a need at cornerback. (SportsBuff.com)

    4/15/2010 4:35:00 PM
Description: The Detroit News reports the Lions don't plan to meet with Jones before next week's draft.
Insight: The Lions are the current frontrunner to sign Jones, if there is one. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/31/2010 9:39:00 PM
Description: The Bengals declared they are no longer interested in bringing Pacman Jones aboard.
Insight: The Bengals must suddenly be placing a higher priority on character these days. It?s still unclear who exactly is going to take a chance on the talented but troubled cornerback. (sportsBuff.com)

    3/29/2010 6:03:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN.com, the NFL has confirmed in a letter to all 32 teams that Jones is eligible to play this season.
Insight: Jones sat out all of 2009, which apparently had created some concerns about his eligibility for 2010. The Lions have been reported to have the most interest in him. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/26/2010 5:01:00 PM
Description: The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Jones, according to his player rep, ran 40-yard dash times of 4.42 and 4.48 at his private workout last Friday.
Insight: Jones has always been fast, and there's no questioning his talent, but his off-field issues have always seemed to hold him back. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/26/2010 10:27:00 AM
Description: Tom Kowalski of MLive.com disputes a Pro Football Talk.com report that the Lions have agreed to terms with Jones.
Insight: The Lions have been rumored to be doing their "due diligence" in regard to Jones, but a signing does not seem imminent. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/24/2010 12:52:00 AM
Description: The Detroit News reports that while the Lions don't have a deal imminent with Jones, GM Martin Mayhew is performing due diligence on him.
Insight: Detroit has shown the most interest in Jones, and may be willing to give him another NFL shot. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/21/2010 10:28:00 PM
Description: MLive.com reports Lions' head coach Jim Schwartz left open the possibility of the team signing Jones.
Insight: Schwartz and Jones worked together in Tennessee for two years, so the coach is familiar with him. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/19/2010 8:56:00 PM
Description: Updating a previous item, Pro Football Talk.com reports Jones did work out for NFL team on Friday, despite a report to the contrary.
Insight: Another report suggest Jones ran a 4.4 second forty-yard dash at the workout. Five teams- among them were the 49ers, Jaguars, Saints and Lions-sent representatives to the workout. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/19/2010 5:11:00 PM
Description: The New Orleans Times Picayune reports Jones did not show up for his planned workout on Friday in New Orleans.
Insight: This may mean Jones will (finally?) be done as an NFL player. (SportsBuff.com)
