    Chicago Bears

    Position
    RB

    Jersey
    29
    Name  Michael Bush
    Born  6/16/1984
    Height  6-1
    Weight  245
    College  Louisville
    11/25/2014 4:40:00 PM
Description: Running back Michael Bush, most recently with Chicago, has signed with Arizona.
Insight: Bush has never been a full-time workhorse back, but has always been a solid red zone option. Starter Andre Ellington has struggled of late.

    3/10/2014 8:29:00 PM
Description: Goal line halfback Michael Bush was cut by the Bears on Monday. SOURCE: Brad Biggs, Chicago Tribune
Insight: Bush totaled just 197 yards on 63 carries in 2013. After vulturing five touchdowns from Matt Forte in 2012, that figure dropped to just three last season. He's not a fantasy candidate.

    12/18/2012 2:55:00 PM
Description: Bears running back Michael Bush is likely done for the season due to a rib injury, according to beat writer Sean Jensen.
Insight: With Bush injured, starter Matt Forte saw 25 touches last Sunday and combined for 133 yards rushing and receiving. Move Forte a little higher up the charts for Week 16.

    11/25/2012 5:44:00 PM
Description: Bears running back Michael Bush scored two touchdowns Sunday against the Vikings and might find himself with a larger role going forward if Matt Forte (ankle) has to miss time with his latest injury.
Insight: Forte left Sunday's game versus Minnesota after injuring the same ankle he sprained earlier this season. Prior to Sunday, Bush hadn't crossed the goal line since Week 3.

    10/1/2012 5:56:00 PM
Description: According to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune, Bears running back Michael Bush's shoulder injury might be significant. McClure said he heard Bush is "really toughing it out."
Insight: Bush left last Sunday's game against the Rams with a shoulder injury, forcing Kahlil Bell to finish the game. Matt Forte (ankle) is likely going to play Monday but Bush is still a reliable flex option since he'll get around 10 touches plus goal-line carries.

    9/27/2012 7:19:00 PM
Description: Chicago running back Michael Bush said his shoulder is going to be fine, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Bush left Sunday's game against the Rams with a shoulder injury, forcing Kahlil Bell to finish the game. Bush will be a RB2 option if Matt Forte (ankle) sits again but you can still start him as a flex if Forte is active since Bush is likely to vulture a touchdown.

    9/24/2012 12:46:00 PM
Description: Chicago running back Michael Bush ran for 55 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries and caught two balls for 18 yards against St. Louis this week.
Insight: Bush is a viable fantasy option only so long as Forte (ankle) is sidelined. Coach Lovie Smith said he is hopeful that Forte can return for the Week 4 matchup on Monday Night Football with Dallas.

    9/14/2012 3:16:00 PM
Description: Chicago running back Michael Bush will be the Bears starting for the next few weeks with Matt Forte suffering a high-ankle sprain in the game against Green Bay.
Insight: For those who handcuffed Bush to Forte, your reward will be a solid fantasy option for the next few weeks. Bush scored twice in Week 1 and rushed 14 times for 54 yards on Thursday night against the Packers. He should be an excellent option in Week 3 against the Rams weak run defense.

    8/18/2012 10:39:00 PM
Description: Bears running back Michael Bush carried the ball five times for 21 yards and two scores Saturday in the team's second exhibition game.
Insight: Bush has value as a RB3, as he's a threat to score 10-plus rushing touchdowns this season as Chicago's goal-line back.

    8/4/2012 8:04:00 PM
Description: According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears are expected to use running back Michael Bush at the goal line.
Insight: Bush doesn't have breakaway speed but he can move the pile with his 245-pound frame. He'll have fantasy value if he can hold onto the goal-line job, though Matt Forte figures to see the majority of the touches elsewhere.

    5/29/2012 12:45:00 PM
Description: Chicago Bears newly acquired running back Michael Bush has been working with the first team what with Matt Forte skipping the team's OTA.
Insight: Bush rushed for 977 yards and seven touchdowns last season in Oakland while starting only six of 16 games. We know he has talent, but if Forte doesn't agree to terms then we could see a lot more of Bush than expected.

    3/22/2012 4:01:00 PM
Description: Michael Bush has signed a four-year, $14 million contract with the Bears.
Insight: Bush nearly rushed for 1,000 yards last season in Oakland, and he was only the starter for half the year (Darren McFadden got injured in Week 7). Matt Forte will be Chicago's starting halfback but Bush is too good to sit on the bench. He could get most of the Bears' goalline carries.

    11/21/2011 7:54:00 PM
Description: Raiders coach Hue Jackson said Monday that Darren McFadden (foot) will not play until he is 100 percent healthy. Source: Oakland Tribune
Insight: With the way the Raiders and Michael Bush are playing, there's no need to rush him. Coupled with the Chargers collapse, the Raiders are in pretty good position atop their division. This isn't what DMC's owners are wanting to hear, but the Raiders need to be smart. Expect Bush to receive another 28-30 carries this week.

    2/21/2011 12:35:00 PM
Description: There is the possibility that impending free agent RB Michael Bush could be a restricted free agent under the next Collective Bargaining Agreement. SOURCE: FOX SPORTS
Insight: Because Bush spent his rookie year on the Non-football Injury list with a broken leg, he could only have three years of service instead of four. If so, this would ensure the Raiders keeping Bush with the tag while both sides try to work out a long-term deal.

    2/15/2011 6:16:00 PM
Description: According to his attorney, RB Michael Bush was not intoxicated when he was arrested last Saturday morning. SOURCE: FOOTBALL NEWS NOW
Insight: His lawyer maintains Bush was under-the-limit .07, even though he blew a reported .11. He is scheduled in court sometime next week.

    2/12/2011 6:01:00 PM
Description: WLKY.com reports that Bush was arrested early Saturday morning in Indiana on drunken driving charges.
Insight: Not the way to start an off-season in which you're due to hit free agency, young man. We'll see if this impacts Bush's signability at all, though DUI seems far too common in the league at this point anyway. (RapidDraft.com)

    2/12/2011 5:13:00 PM
Description: Raiders RB Michael Bush was arrested for drunk driving in Jeffersonville, Kentucky early Saturday morning. SOURCE: WLKY.COM
Insight: This shouldn't be much of an issue with Bush not having any off-field issues in the past. We still expect the Raiders to do anything possible to bring him back.

    2/2/2011 3:43:00 PM
Description: RB Michael Bush has a good chance to return to the Raiders in 2011. SOURCE: USA TODAY
Insight: Bush played well in 2010 behind starter Darren McFadden, finishing with 655 yards rushing, 194 receiving and eight touchdowns. He is set to hit restricted free agency whenever the new Collective Bargaining Agreement is reached.

    1/31/2011 11:04:00 AM
Description: In an interview with InsideBayArea.com's Jerry McDonald, new Raiders coach Hue Jackson said of Darren McFadden and Bush, "those two guys are a 1-2 punch for us."
Insight: Jackson never specifically said that he wants to try to retain Bush, who is due to hit free agency, but that kind of talk seems to imply as much. We'll see what kind of price Bush is pursuing, though, and how it matches up with the Raiders' valuation. (RapidDraft.com)

    1/31/2011 11:01:00 AM
Description: According to Raiders HC Hue Jackson, impending free agent RB Michael Bush remains in the team's backfield plans. SOURCE: OAKLAND TRIBUNE
Insight: During his introductory press conference, Jackson referred to Bush as one of the team's nucleus players, which lends us to believe that there have been initial contract talks that never got reported. If there is a new CBA, Bush could be hit with a restricted free agent tender to ensure he stays a Raider in 2011.
