    Notes:
Entered last season on the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, recognizing the top defensive player in the nation...Nicholas placed second on the South Florida squad with 102 total tackles in 2006, led the Bulls with seven and a half sacks and was tied for the team lead with 15 TFLs, leading to a spot on the All-Big East First Team...Dropping back into pass coverage, Nicholas also recorded a pair of interceptions and seven pass break-ups, all while charging into the backfield in an effort to post nine quarterbackhurries...Showed athleticism by notching one of the team's three blocked kicks as well...Headed into last season as a three-time member of the Butkus Award watch list, but lost a bit of attention with the emergence of freshman defensive tackle George Selvie who was one of the most impressive first-year players in the conference...Nicholas shows great speed moving laterally and isn't afraid to lay down a hard hit as he roams the middle of the field searching out targets...Did himself a favor by opting to stay in school after considering a jump to the pros a year ago, now a bit wiser and more skilled.
